Room was spacious and clean. Bed is comfortable as a hotel bed. The remote didn't have volume control but not really a big deal. Bathtub was not in great shape. Looks a bit outdated and worn. Surprisingly good stay for just finding it and stopping.

First room we were given the key was VERY poor. The bed was wet, walls had holes and bathroom tub was broken and beat up.. We were told we could not be refunded for the 2 night we had checked in for so we were offered another room.
The second room we were given was better but still very poor. Smelt like mildew, roaches in the bathroom tub and yellow stains on the walls.
The website was very deceiving, the rooms looked nicer than reality as well as the reviews online.

I have stayed at the scottish Inn atleast 4 or 5 times a year for the past 6 years 3 to 4 days at a time and the service and cleaningles has deterate more and more every year always something wrong.the free breakfast hasn't been in service for 3 years or the main lobby has not been open this time was the final stay because #1 main lobby closed #2 no breakfast #3 the person at check in little window could speak very little English and understand even less #4 she was rude as hell #5 the phone in the room not working #6 the a.c and heater had a short in the electric plug had to keep getting up and wiggle the cord so it would work #7 killed atlease 4 or 5 little roaches #8 again the rudeness of the woman checking in or out and the lobby always closed is the reason I will not be staying here no more =9 don't blame it on covid other places are open and functioning quite well #10 the person checking in said she could not give a receipt I had to call the credit company to see how much she charged on it

Please find elsewhere to stay. Upon my arrival for check-in today, a customer in front of me was having issues of being placed in a room already occupied...twice. Then I specified for non-smoking and was placed in a smoking room with the lady working there telling me I did not specify...it was on my ticket for reservation, and she asked me before assigning the room to me. I guess I wasn't suppose to tell the difference : /

It did not help that the lady had a bit of an attitude at that point. Again, please choose somewhere else if you regard customer service and integrity.

They lied about their prices and should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. The clerk was not friendly at all. The card to the room did not work. I will never stay here again. No carpet on floor. No lamps in room. No soap or shampoo. They had two toothbrushes but no toothpaste. I will say this and that is the room was clean.

No stars! Called to reserve a room- gave my name, number, and what nights I needed to stay which was the same day... They didn't ask for anymore information. They gave my room away!!!! Whole town was booked up. Went into another hotel and they said that the Scottish Inn is known for giving rooms away or saying they have rooms until you get there and all they have available is smoking. Also when we arrived the door was locked and the Open sign was off. Rang the doorbell twice no one came to the door, but when I called them someone answered the phone. The girl was rude! Don't waste your Time!

Checked in with my husband @ 6:30 pm. Went to room and opened the door, and immediately got hit with the odor of pet urine. The stains were obvious. Backed out of the room, went to office to get a refund. I then noticed a sign that I didn't see before. "NO REFUNDS." So I asked for a different room. This one was not as bad :/ Husband showered, I took the top comforter off the bed. Skeptical that it had not been changed in a while. There were stained sheets. Noticeably from a woman. Couldn't even sit on the bed, I was disgusted. Husband got out of shower that he said had stained greasy oiled walls. He got dressed, left the premisses at 6:50 pm. DISGUSTING!!! Don't let the outside fool you. It looks descent, but rooms are HORRIBLE!

I have stayed at this motel twice and on both occasions my rooms air con didn't work. The first in June 2012 was unbearable.I was given a new room that was acceptable. on my next visit in late Jan. 2013 the air con wasn't but as the temp. in southern Texas wasn't too warm at that time of year it was ok with an open window. When I let the manager know I was told that a Maint. man would be there shortly. He showed the next day and said that he couldn't fix it and there were no other rooms. I asked the manager for a lower rate and was denied and then she demanded a pet deposit of $20.00. Never again. When I go back to Angleton I will sleep in my in car.

I have been quite impressed with the overall quality of service and accomadations at this hotel. I work offshore and have had nothing but excellent service from the management and service personel at this hotel. The rooms were beyond my expectations and the management is nothing but professional. I am very happy with this facility and will be willing to recomend highly this hotel for anyone wanting value and quality at an affordable price. I have been all over the world and this hotel ranks among some of the best I have stayed in even some 5 star hotels do not compare to the level of accomadations afforded here. I am very satisfied with my stay her at the Scottish inn of Angleton.

Me and my family are happy with the sevice and staff of the scottish inn. Me and my family were having it bad and all places were out of room last opition was the Scottish Inn . We got a kitchenett dubble bed and it was very clean very spacioush. They even met my needs at night when we needed extra towels or pillows they were more then happy to halp us out. I do not understand the bad reviews on here because I was unable to hear anything and we had 4 children next to us and we heard nothing. the lobby is always open. and yes there is always only one person working but they are very good at their job and very friendly. I will tell all my friends and family of my stay and I will recommend this hotel anyday..... Thank you Scottish Inn staff for making my family comfortable aon our stay cant wait to be back....…

I brought my family to stay overnight when our home was damaged. I was pleasently suprised to find that our local scottish inns was so accommodating. Even though they were almost full, the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed during such a stressful time. The room was clean and spacious and the "spa" tub was a hit with my son!

The stay was very unpleasant. First of all there is no service, the staff is rude and the lobby is never open. The motel only has one person working there and no one picks up the phone when you call. As far as the rooms go, you can hear everything around you because of the poor construction. We were in the room for only a few hours when noise started coming from the room next door, it was so loud that we could make out all the words coming from the room. We decided to call the office but of course no one would answer the phone. After we were fed up we walked to the office, where we were met by a rude woman who would not give us a refund. We ended up staying the night, however did not get any rest at all. We will never stay here again and filed a complaint with the BBB.

To start off with, their lobby is NEVER open. We walked around to the back window where we met, a woman who just stared at us. We said we had booked rooms online, and we were ready to check in. She asked, "You have paper?" We did not, but we had checked in here before without papers, and asked if she could look it up online. She replied again in a rude fashoin, "My computer down, and i am not looking. You have paper?" We were a little distraught, she was not willing to look up our reservation, and wanted to run our card again. We explained that the money had been taken out of our account, and we would not let her charge us again. On top of that she was trying to charge us 15 dollars more than what we had originally booked the room for. She then slammed her window shut, and tunred her back to us. We then started to access the internet on our phones frantically trying to find our confirmation. The woman, then opened up the window, and stuck a phone at our faces. On the other side was man saying that we had to run the card again, and he would honor the 45 dollars a night. He said if we have a duplicate charge to ask for him, and he could take care of it. Ok, we thought the worst was over. Boy were we wrong. She charged us more of course, and then screamed out us in a non english language when we questioned the charges. We were so tired from the drive, I just gave her my card, and wasn't going to let her ruin my easter holiday. Online we had payed for our pets, and becasue of the shouting and language barrier we did fail to mention our dog. No big deal though, i thought we would just have a pet fee added to our account at the end of our stay like any other hotel would do. We barely slept a wink that night due to the paper thin walls, and noises coming from both sides of the room. We woke up on easter sunday, put our dog in the restroom with some water, and left for a couple of hours. We do this in other hotels, and leave the do not disturb sign up. Of course, there was no do not disturb sign, and no one answered the front desk phone when we called to tell them we would not be needing that service. We came back to check up on our dog, after some easter egg hunting and bbq. We could not access our room at all. Our key was no longer programmed. We walked to the front lobby, it was locked again. We did see the woman go to the window, and wait instead of opening the door for us. We walked back around, and the maid told us to ring the bell. There was no need the woman was standing right there. The window again slammed open, and she began to talk to us with attitude. "You Bring dog!' "You owe us, 40 dollar each night!" My wife and I looked at each other, and then told her when we stayed here in Decemeber it was 10 dollars a night. The maid (who is this woman's father) then stepped in, and explain he had a situation when he tried to the clean the room. He heard a bark. We said yes, we have or dog in the restroom, he s trained, and has not dirtied the room. The woman, then said ok 30 dollars a night. The maid lifted up his hand, and said something in arabic. We asked if we could just have a refund for the next night, and we would leave. No refund of course. The woman was glaring at us like we were the anti christ. The maid said he would let us stay at no extra charge for te pet, but next time we would have to pay. We felt so uncomfortable we let them keep our money, and checked out. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!…
