    Hotel is decent only issue was the room pillows had stains on them. Also the beds don’t have two big pillows each bed had 1 big pillow and 2 small pillows. (I had two double beds) the fridge had soda spilled in it so it had the dry sticky spots like it was attempted to be cleaned. Pool is open 24/7 that is a plus since it is a nice pool. Staff was great with the check in process.

    Location location location.
    It’s right by the airport, a gas station and a restaurant
    Rooms are... Not in the best condition, but if you are looking for place to sleep, that's close to everything an adventurer needs before going on their journey this is the place.

    Had to select this due to no/less choices. I have stayed in different properties in Corpus Christi before, but this is definitely poor place to stay. Never recommend this property.

    I booked my room online through a third party and had no issues. Great rate for last minute late book on Agoda.com.The room was what was explained. Over all clean. There was little spots missed here and there. Management was acomidating when I asked to stay a little longer after check out. I would recommend this place to others.

    It's now called Oyo Hotel now and they ruined our day by saying the have availability online and we booked a room so when we arrived the desk lady said they are all booked and that we have to call the number in our email for our refund and was no help at all but ever since they've still have us on hold after 20 minutes. What's crazy is that we've drove around the whole place and can hardly see any cars in the lots at all it's empty more than anything but yet it's a full house. I was traveling with my 7 month pregnant gf and my 5 ear old son. Yes we can always get a better nice hotel but this was conviene for the moment so my dog can have somewhere to stay but now we have to go through extra steps only cause they put false stuff on their site about their availability. Thanks for the experience and waste of time. SMDH

    My husband and I stayed a weekend here and we loved it we had no problems staff was friendly room was cleaned we enjoyed the pool only complaint is breakfast could use some improvement

    Rooms not clean and in disrepair. Advertise continental breakfast but only had a few muffins and literally nothing else. Room did not seem safe or secure. I would not recommend this place to anyone. One positive, the staff were very friendly.

    Only have it a one star because zero wasn't an option. The front desk lady acted like she didn't even want to be there. Checked in and checked out within ten minutes. The room smelled like mildew, the toilet would not flush, there was cigarette burns in the comforter and it was just not a good experience at all! Don't waste your time or money. The front desk lady didn't offer ANYTHING not even to switch rooms or a refund or anything. Very disappointed... Got another hotel not too fat and Windham and it was much much much better.

    Update: NOT ANY BETTER! If at all WORSE! AC until leaking, room smells so strongly of weed (marajuna), holes and damages everywhere (will post updated pics), and dirty noisy beds and things from previous guest left! I couldn't believe this. I felt disgusting even after showering! 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! Negative stars aren't an option soooooo 1 star is even being generous. All I can tell you is DO NOT STAY HERE! As a last resort then its still a hard maybe. Check-in for us was supposed to be at 4pm and we didn't get checked-in until 5:30pm because our room wasn't cleaned and the lady at front wasn't very efficient. Onky one working (I'll admit I felt bad for her.) Room: dirty floors, dirty doors, no smoke alarm cables hanging from the ceiltv didn't work, and paint peeling off the walls. Beds were hard and noisy if you even sit on it, blankets had cigarette burn holes all over them even though it was 'non-smoking' just nasty! Outside: messy, littered with trash and cigarettes, and many electric cables hanging from the ceiling all o lever the first floor. Some Asc units were busted that I could see from outside. Overall a pretty sketchy place. Thankfully it was a one night stay and we didn't spend much time there. But next time I'm definitely going to spend a little more money for a nicer and cleaner hotel and I recommend that for anyone.

    Pulling in to parking lot we instantly didn't feel safe. The minute we walked in to the room we knew there was no way we were sleeping there. Carpets were filthy. Pull out sofa looked like it was brought in from the dump! The king mattress was flat as a pancake and had bedbugs all over the mattress. There were also roaches and spiders in the room. When asked to talk to management, manager would never answer the front desks phone calls.
    They are refusing to give a refund! We never even stayed there and had to spend more money on a different hotel.
    I would not recommend this hotel to ANYONE! -0 RATING!!

    This was a terrible experience, the bedding did not have sheets, had to ask for them.. the only had a blanket available so I took it. I tried to get out of our reservation the same day we showed up and they where still going to charge me for one night and we hadn't even stayed the night yet. Signs posted all around park at your risk. . We decided to stay since they would not refund our deposit and did not want to spend the additional funds to go some where else, plus the one night. Luckily this was just two nights. The phone in the room didn't work either and two lamps didn't work either. The bath tub drained really slow as you see from picture it was filthy. Just can't believe how you cannot refund someone when the room is not functional or safe for that matter. And kids could not go swimming since the pool was not functional either. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

    Zero stars if I could while leaving a review. This place is disgusting! After two room changes, we still had one working lightbulb, no space for the people they were aware we were bringing, nasty floors, cigarette burns on everything including the linens in our non smoking room and a stained bathtub. The people in the area will smoke pot, cut up and try to get in your room while you're in it. Our door wouldn't lock and that was the best of two rooms. Save yourself the money and go elsewhere.

    We stayed here 3 days because of how much cheaper it was than the other hotels. It's a 45 minute drive to Padre Island National Seashore. Our room: smelled like smoke and was DAMP. The walls are very thin here and you can hear everything going on in the next room and in the hallway. You can feel every vibration in the floor when your neighbor is running around in their room. The refrigerator seal was very dirty looking. The tv was big, worked well, and had good channels. Shower curtain was made out of a thin silk material that keeps clinging to you when you bump into it. Outside: there are ice machines outside and there are coin operated washers and dryers outside. Trash cans were overflowing with pizza boxes, cupcake boxes, and diapers for a few days. There are fire extinguisher boxes that are protected with a pane of glass in some of the pillars that hold the roof up. I noticed one of the panes were busted out and there was a plastic drinking cup inside the slot with the fire extinguisher for all three days we were there. It didn't matter where you parked, it took a journey to get to and from your car from the upstairs area. Lobby: Very clean. Had great staff on hand. They were both friendly and accommodating. They have continental breakfast on the weekends (very few options: assorted honey buns, toast, two kinds of cereals, Activia yogurt, bananas, oatmeal packets, coffee and juice machine) and during the week, they have a hot breakfast (we were expecting bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes.... they had biscuits and gravy without sausage and they had fresh scrambled eggs that didn't smell so great to me). I was VERY disappointed in the food here, but happy I could eat all I wanted.

    Conflicting thoughts on this hotel. The employees were friendly and helpful when we needed help. But the overall place is old and our refrigerator did not function correctly. A nice place to stay when we first moved to Corpus Christi and reasonably priced for what you get.

    The room was clean but nothing fancy. It needs some updating & repair, but Personnel are friendly (Nick). The beds are hard & they were Not Queens as advertised, they were Doubles. The full breakfast was acceptable (waffles, eggs, sausage, pastries, cereal & fruit, juices & coffee). The hotel is located close to restaurants within driving distance & seems to be extended stay for contractors working locally. I felt safe. The jacuzzi looked like the wall was broken, but it was too cold to use the pool anyway, so hopefully it'll be ok by spring break. Due to the recent hurricane a lot of the rooms were given to the construction workers at the time. It was completely disgusting outside. Pull was disgusting and gate was like rusted shut. Entire area outside Wasn't cleaned once in my entire two nights. Beer bottles, trash, cigarettes littered everywhere. The rooms were okay, I have pictures of a couple things probably done by the workers staying there. The breakfast was mediocre at best. All beverages tasted sour(oj,aj,milk, coffee). There was yogurt, two types of cereals(Raisin Bran), bread, fruit, and danishes. Overall, not worth the 100+ a night.

    Bucket for cigarette butts right outside the door, huge roach just inside the door, and peep hole was just that.....a hole in the door, this was how we were greeted when we arrived. Reserved this place under Priceline, when we got there, they didn’t find the reservation but were able to get us into a room anyways. Reserved 2 beds, got a king and a pull out bed. The sofa bed mattress was gross and there were no linens for it. Ice machine was not working, breakfast was okay. Was glad to get out of there and not spend another night in that place. Only plus was the front desk person, she was very nice and courteous.. Thank you for staying at WindWater Hotel Corpus Christi, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. We apologize for the inconvenience and will retrain staff and procedures in making sure every guest leavers with a memorable and comfortable stay.

    it was an unexpected trip, we found this hotel by luck. we loved our stay the rooms were very clean and the staff is friendly and welcoming. the price was great! looking forward to going back this Saturday with more family! thank you windwater for being good to u!     Saw bad reviews, so was not looking forward to our stay. Was pleasantly surprised.. The woman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice & clean - newer carpet and window coverings. Outside looked very neat and clean. Breakfast was a bit skimpy, but had the basics, and no different than I have at home.     Booked this through Priceline. Got in very late. Room was horribly dirty, but the sheets looked clean, so I just went to sleep. Got up in the night and found roaches all over the bathroom which quickly ran into a crack by the counter when I turned on the light. The toilet seat would not stay up so it rested on my back while I was using the bathroom. I went back to bed to sleep because I needed to work the next day. I had booked several nights, but cannot take this place. When I left this morning I noticed several fresh empty bear bottles strewn around outside. This place is creepy. I called Priceline, who said I needed to call the hotel. I called the hotel and they said they would NOT offer a refund for the unused nights to Priceline, and would not even give me the name of a manager to talk to. They are even telling Priceline that everything was fine with the room because I did not come talk to them at 2 AM about my problems, but instead called them this morning after I got to my work. Avoid this place at all costs. Sleep in your car before staying here. I am also not too pleased with Priceline at this point who is refusing to do anything actively about this, and I have been a loyal Priceline customer for years and never asked for a refund.     Don't stop here, drive past it, sleep in your car!! Leaky A.C.,spiders,roaches and ants oh my. We're not at the Holiday Inn ToTo. Not up to code no fire alarm system, no safety latch, mildew that smelled horrific. Sockets don't work and the light in the bathroom was missing it's cover and wires were exposed. We complained and was moved into a Suite only to not have a shower curtain, batteries for the remote and the toilet was broke (that we had to fix ourselves). The A.C. in the bedroom make a loud noises. It's clear to say that they will not ever in life see me again unless they're on Hotel Impossible and completed everything. We do have a professional pest control company that services the hotel in a monthly basis.

    I stayed here for 3 days and the room given smelled really bad. The toilet was not working properly and the receptionist told me to come pick up the plunger to fix it myself since the maintenance guy left for the day. The next day housekeeping came in early but I told them to come back in an hour since me & my family were still getting dressed to go to the beach. I return a few hours later to find out they never came back. I'm frustrated at this point since I was out in the sun all day to find out the trash in my room was not empty, low on toilet paper & needed more bath/hand towels. I called the receptionist and her excuse was they had a full house today. Clearly she didn't try to solve it herself. Usually at other hotels I stayed at the receptionist will come do it herself. I will NEVER stay here again. Do not waste your time & money at this filthy hotel.     Stayed for one night. 2 person, 2 queen beds, non smoking. Room was clean, smelled nice. Micro wave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Nice flat screen TV. Room was large enough to be comfortable. Mattresses were on the thin side, the pillows (3 per bed) very small, like they belonged to a crib. Shower and tub OK, toilet seat on the verge of coming off. Breakfast of sausage, egg and waffles comparable to other hotel/motels. Overall OK for what we paid, under $ 70.00 with Tax, lower than other chains in the area.     Stayed here a weekend, Friday thru Monday, and had a decent stay, especially for the price. No its not a 5 star or the embassy but it's not the worst place that you could go. The ac was amazing, there was always parking, the beds were clean, it looked clean too. We only had a few problems, only two plugs worked, out of the only 3 sets of plugs, we didn't get clean towels everyday, we had to go and search for clean towels in the front office. But everyone was very nice and accommodating, we would more than gladly stay again!

    This hotel was the worst! We booked it only because it had a cheaper room for the weekend than other hotels in the area.. but do not stay here. The office staff are all rude, incompetent and dont provide any type of service. We were supposed to check in after 2pm so we arrived at 3:30pm after sight seeing and our room was still not finished. At 4pm we were able to get into our room. The floors were filthy, the AC was hot and there was a puddle of water from the AC unit. There were missing ilght bulbs, the sink and bathtub didnt have plugs and some of the power outlets didnt work. We called to make a compliant about how hot it was but the rude girl only stated they have no other rooms. The maintenance guy who also doubles as the cleaning staff came up and 'cleaned' the AC yet 5 hours later it was still 80 degrees in our room. I called down to complain again and the only reason why we stayed was because the night superviosr finally gave us another room. This room's AC worked perfect. There were holes and cracks in this room but at this point we just wanted to get through the night. The pool is not clean, and doesnt seem like it has the necessary chlorine to keep it clean. So them listing they have a pool is laughable as it is very small and unkept. I made numerous complaints to the front office and asked for the manager who was never in. I called to ask for the owner and again they were never available. I wish I could have known this roach motel was this terrible so i could have stayed somewhere else. Please do not stay here.. the management doesnt care about your stay and the only way to get their attention is by not filling their rooms and writing honest reviews about how horrible this place is.… Thank you for staying at Windwater Hotel, we appreciate all our guest comments and concerns.     This place was cheap and available for the start of a busy Fourth of July week. There is a reason for that. It is old and run down and does not feel secure. It also full of workers from the nearby refineries. As we arrived, there was a group standing on the 2nd floor landing doing Karaoke. There were no bath towels in the restroom and my wife wondered if the room had been used before us this night. It is now 4:30 in the morning and our overhead neighbor has woken us up as he stomps around in his room. Going to work I guess. You get what you pay for and this was pretty bad.

Didn't take long for socks, bare feet and kids to be covered in black slimy dirt. Pool was locked all 3 days we stayed mid June. Breakfast is ok. Cereal, yogurt, bagels cream cheese toast coffee and orange juice A lot of the a/c units had drain problems and leaked onto walkways creating a slime trail on sidewalks outside many of the rooms. Not the ideal setting for a family fun vacation Mostly truckers and meth heads staying here

    Recently stayed at this hotela day ago. My emailed itinerary said 2 oclock check in. I had booked a non smoking King kitchenette. When showed up to check in at 2 the girl at desk triedto tell me check in was 3. Then there was no kitchenette room available. She could put me in another room at but it would still be same price. The 1st room smelt like an ashtray. I have a small child with a life threatening disease Pulmonary Hypertension. The 2nd room was the same. She finally found a room that did not smell like an ashtray. But of course a regular room and stillwas charged higher price. She could not relay the internet password correctly never got that to work. Then tried to sleep in on vacation to be woke up by maids beating on door at 845 am. Sounded like the cops ridiculous.… I would take the time to apologize for the room type and the customer service which we have changed staff at WindWater Hotel Corpus Christi. Hope to see you again soon.

    We stayed in room 108 for 1 night, my husband and I and our 3 small children. I had booked our room for the Sand Fest event happening in Port Aransas for that weekend. Our room was clean,the sheets were clean, WiFi worked great but I was rather disappointed that the pool was not in working order for our stay. Had I known that I would not have reserved online a few days before. There were some minor things in the room that looked as if they needed to be repaired like the faucet fixture but everything worked fine. The breakfast was good, there was hot sausages and eggs and waffles. Next time I'm calling anywhere I stay to confirm that their pool works before I book, that was probably the biggest let down for my Kiddos. Other than that it worked.     This place is a dump. For starters, there was no Wi-Fi (not even the Ethernet connection) in our room as promised. So we went down to the lobby to speak to the receptionist on shift (evening time). Her response was there was nothing she could do about it, and sarcastically offered us "like $10" for not having Wi-Fi available in our room. She proceeded to tell us she could "book [our] room for someone else for $200 a night because [they're] overbooked" if we wanted to leave. We were dumbfounded. We went back to our room to immediately call Expedia to see if they could cancel and refund this reservation and find us somewhere else. I was put on hold so the Expedia representative could speak to the receptionist we spoke to. I was on hold for 26 MINUTES until somebody at Expedia… I apologize about your stay at Windwater Hotel Corpus Christi, we strive to make sure each guest leaves with a positive experience. We have talked to the management to take care of these issues as stated, we want all guests to leave happy.     I had went there with my husband and some other umpires. It was for business/pleasure. We got a king suite and it was very nice. They had wifi which was great. Located right of North Padre Island Drive so very convenient.the only complaints was it said we would get a Hot breakfast and well that wasnt the case. Breakfast wasnt hot at all so very disappointed. Other than that everything was great. thank you for being our guest at WindWater Hotel Corpus Christi. We strive to give the best customer service ever to each guest. Looking forward in having you be our guest in the near future visit to Corpus Christi.

    I stayed in this hotel for a spur of the moment trip to Corpus Christi and I have to say, I made the right decision. The price I got it for was amazing. The beds were comfortable the rooms were nice and clean. One thing that we noticed was weird was that our room was missing the light covers in the bathroom and the metal cover where the knob is to adjust the temperature for the shower was loose. However, that wasn't going to bother me. The breakfast they had in the morning was great! Most hotels at this price don't even come close to offering what they did! Eggs, sausage, waffles, toast, muffins, a cereal bar and the best guava juice cocktail I've tasted. If you are traveling and are looking for a good hotel at a great price, look no further than Windwater!     Booked this through Hotels.com got into town at 11.00am,thought I may drop off my bags at reception before going down town to do the tourist thing. No problem got my room then and there ! Awesome no hassle with the girl on the front desk, room was what I expected, clean and tidy. Can recommend ! To the Yelpers on the road.

    I must admit I did not read reviews prior to staying at the Windwater and I probably would have thought twice if I had, but I have to say I was happy with my stay. My husband, myself and two children stayed for two nights and enjoyed the place. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was great (eggs, waffels, & sausage), and the room was decent. It might need a little paint and some screws for toilet paper holder but other than that it was nice. And the best part was no bedbugs!! The price was average and compared to every other hotel in the area. I would probably give it another try on another trip out to Corpus.     it has to be the worst place I have ever stated in and actually asked my daughters to stay in,BIG MISTAKE.     We woke up in the morning to find my counterpart bitten all over by bugs. They told us it was just sprayed and a guy showed up when it was time to leave to spray again. They showed little concern, not too friendly, not really clean. There was some remodeling effort, but they have a ways to go. Some intense training of staff is in order. They should have offered to refund our money. Windwater Hotel has a pest control company that services the hotel each month.     I don't know where average price of$92 comes from. We had a regular room w/ two full beds and it was $109 per night during the week. Very run down and not very clean. First day the cleaning people didn't even clean our room. They came around 9:00am and asked if we needed fresh towels but did not clean. They did clean on day two but did not leave enough towels. There was no Internet access. I asked about it and the receptionist told me that they would reboot the network and that I should have access. I never did. When I was checking out there was another woman complaining and they were giving her the same song and dance about rebooting. I told them that I was never able to connect and they just got me checked out as soon as possible.     The exterior and the room looked to be recently renovated, but the paint job was poorly done. People were coming from the beach to use the pool. At one time, we saw about 13 young adults come in all at once from the beach. While we were waiting to sit at a table, a family were changing their clothes under their towels in front of us. Needless to say, they didn't have a room at the hotel. One of the residence complained to the receptionist , but nothing was done. To top it off, they didn't have enough parking spots.     Apparently a former La Quinta with the next stop being an econolodge or similar and that not far in future by the looks of things. Quality should not retain this as part of their brand without significant renovation. It is convenient to airport and industries out in that part of town but not convenient to much else. It was clean and quiet but otherwise somewhat shabby, thin towels, the previously mentioned missing smoke detector, no clock radio. Breakfast adequate.     After reading some of the reviews on here, we were very nervous about seeing bugs. We didn't see any. The room itself was okay -- the wireless internet worked well. The smoke detector was missing (there was a hole in the ceiling). The clock radio didn't work. It was very noisy in the morning, since lots of kids were playing in the parking lot (the second day they had left, so it was quieter). The hotel is easy to access, and right near the highway and the airport. The breakfast was okay, no waffles.     I visted Corpus for a convention, my first impression of the hotel was that it is old and need a serious renovation, but I did give it a chance. The next morning when I got out of bed a saw a huge roach on my bed. Then when I arrived at the convention I overheard a lady talking about a roach being in her room so I asked what was her hotel, and she said Quality Inn and Suites. I don't recommend this place at all, I walked around with shoes on the whole time. Windwater Hotel has a pest control company that services the hotel monthly.     Called Choice hotels to book the room, & was told they had a non-smoking room overlooking the pool. When I said I was using my "Choice points" for a free night, suddenly all they had was a smoking (so heavy we slept with the window open all night) facing a really busy highway. Front desk was like "take it or leave it" even though there were maybe 10% of the rooms boked at best. Carpet wasn't clean, & everything but the Lobby was really rundown.     After reading several of the reviews on this hotel, I was very worried. We made our reservations before checking this site, but we did not cancel our reservations due to the favorable comments about the location. We were very pleasantly surprised to find the things written concerning room cleanliness and service were no longer true. The room did appear to be recently remodelled which gave an indication that things may have improved since the last writings. Hotels on the beach usually take quite a beating due to the environment. I am very happy to report that this hotel appears to be early in that process. I would ordinarily rate this hotel average, but because of the environment, I bumped it to above average.     Terrific potential for this hotel but: Hopeless maid service, no sheets or no towels. Flies in bread bin at breakfast time. Room wasn't cleaned properly. I tried to complain but the manager didn't want to hear from me. I get the impression they're trying to improve things. That's OK, but I didn't get what I paid for now.     Didn't have the room we requested. Took another. It was absolutely gross. Bugs in the windowsill, refrig. didn't work - got TWO before we got a working one, sand all over the carpet, mildew in the bathroom, and to top it off - my son pointed directly over my head and said "there is bug on the wall." It was a nice sized roach - which fell in the bed when my grandmother hit it. We were at least able to get clean sheets - however WE had to pick them up and put them on. We wore shoes the whole time in the room, lysol-ed everything we MIGHT touch, and kept the kids off the floor. Old, dirty, and run down property. Only plus was that it is directly on the beach.     This place is disgusting! We stayed in a 2 bdrm SUITE and it was filthy. They were ants by the ac unit, trash and old food around the sofa, hair and old soap in the bathroom and the carpet was just old and dirty. I made my entire family keep on their shoes till we went to bed. Couldn't sleep because people were in the parking lot till atleast 2 in the morning. (talking and drinking) The only good thing is the front desk people were very nice, but they didn't have to stay in the room. Paid way too much money and had a terrible experience.
