Food was great, like always! Food and drinks did not take long to get there. And then, I thought, "Oh shit, I forgot that Friday was Mariachi day". As we were finding a spot to park, I saw the band come out of their little free Uber ride. They were warming up, but we left before the mariachi started. Thank god.

We had a family function there. The room we dined at was perfect. The service was excellent.

I wish there was a little bit more beef fajita offering + could use a little more for the price. The salsa lacked spice and flavor.

My family loved the enchiladas, quesadillas, and carnitas tacos

Great food. Great interior and their Micheladas are the real deal.

I got the Acapulco Platter and was delicious! Definitely recommend for my first time here Cost 21$ but comes with charros and 3 flour tortillas. Hospitality was great from the bartender and waitress

Arrived at 8:15 and ordered drinks. Closing time states 10pm on Tuesdays. 8:50 the waiter comes and says, the kitchen closes in 10 minutes are you going to order but walked away before we could order. Another table is now seated by a waitress and she takes their drink order. Waiter returned to our table AS THE WAITRESS IS TAKING THE NEW TABLES ORDER and he says, so are you going to go somewhere else because we closed at 9. We questioned him literally so he wouldn't have to stay longer than he had to if they closed at 9 or the kitchen closed at 9 and he said yall can just eat somewhere else because we closed at 9. He was so unnecessarily rude and they were not closed. If he didn't want to serve us (at 8:15 when we arrived) he should've passed us to the waitress who clearly wanted to be there. We left and went to BWW, spent a large amount and left a really nice tip for the sweet waitress over there. For the restaurant to have only a few patrons there you would think they would actually want to serve the ones that try to give them business.

I reserved a table for 20-25 people, I immediately told Julio (server) that it looks small but we will work with it. I waited for my party to arrive which everyone did and maybe a few more; Julio had several big parties including mines, I am very disappointed with the service. I don't blame Julio for all of it but more so management. I was clearing my own tables, I was not happy to say the least. I told Julio it was unacceptable for him to have all those parties and could not provide my party the service we deserved and then he added gratuity to everyone's ticket which is fine ( but I should have got some of that tip) I was cleaning my own tables. We spent at least 1000.00 on food and drinks. I was think about having another gathering next year; absolutely not I will go some else where.

Went here for mother's day since I've been wanting to try it out for some time! Was not disappointed! Very sweet ladies working the floor, and our waitress was ON IT! Knew when to show up without annoying the hell out of us while eating(if you know, you know lol). hahaha although he was speaking 1,000 words per minute,he still maintained his position(he seemed to be serving multiple tables). Sorry others may have had a bad experience (it happens to all of us),I had a great day and OH the drinks were STRONG! Didn't even finish mines and me and my partner were feeling lovely floating

  • May 07, 2023 by Crystal Reyes

Plenty of places to park. Service is fast and staff is always friendly. The owner is usually there and will greet customers. The nachos and rib platter were hot and delicious. Their margaritas were strong but not too strong.
Unless you order the top shelf margaritas then yes, those are strong. Flour tortillas are the best. Basically, everything you order from the menu is good.

We visit Las Haciendsas Mexican Bar and Grill from time to time. The restaurant is beautiful and there is often live music which we tend to enjoy. The food is inexpensive and tastes pretty good. There is limited parking out front and more in the back. The wait staff seems to get overwhelmed easily so we tend to flag down anyone if we need a drink refill. We always try to order/visit at offpeak hours because the kitchen moves slowly. It is rare for us to dine in, if we order delivery from here we tend to stick to appetizers. We will probably be back since this is very close to home and members of our family enjoy it. If you visit, I hope you have a good experience.

The restaurant itself was clean and the food was okay not the best, but the service was horrible will never return to this restaurant. I had the enchiladas which were okay not the best I've ever tasted, but they were decent. Upon arriving (at 7:30 PM) the waiter helped us, me and my family, to a table at the very corner of the building. The restaurant was for the most part empty yet we got a table with the darkest dimmest lighting. My mother and aunt were not able to read the menu so I had to show them on my phone. He took down our drinks and those along with the chips and salsa were served pretty fast. The coffee my uncle had was lukewarm and was more water than anything. We placed our order and we expected the wait to be short since the restaurant was pretty empty. It took about 45 minutes. Considering it was only four simple plates (no fajitas or anything too difficult) it was a little longer than expected. When he dropped off our food at the table we asked for tortillas, lime and one of our drinks to be refilled. He said he would be right back with tortillas, lime and the refill. About 15-20 minutes passed but he never brought our drinks or the lime and tortillas. There was about four other waiters so we stoped and asked another waiter if he could please get us a refill at this point we weren't sure we needed the tortillas and lime. Turns out he was the head waiter so he sent our waiter along with another one to attend our table. We got the limes, tortillas and drinks within a minute or two. There was only a couple other tables occupied and they couldn't manage to get us a refill until we asked the second time. At this point the waiter seemed mad, he dropped off the tortillas and left without saying a single word. I would rate the food a 3/5, the location a 3/5, but the service a 1/5. I will not be returning.

Not much went right about my visit. After waiting 25 minutes for my food (a lunch combo plate at 2:15pm in an empty restaurant) I finally caught the eye of my waiter, who went to check on it. Turns out my food had been boxed up to go by mistake and was sitting there for who knows how long. It was served to me in styrofoam containers at room temperature. After eating as much as I cared to I asked for the check, at which point the waiter inquired whether my hair is natural before asking if I would go out with him for a margarita sometime. I will not be back.

Chimichangas are the bomb, also shrimp enchiladas and mexican martini end to a perfect dinner

  • Feb 27, 2022 by Gizelle R.

There was only two tables in The Whole restaurant that were occupied and ours was one of them they took more than an hour to bring our food out not worth it if I could give it a zero I would.

  • Feb 05, 2022 by Juan V.

If i could give them a zero i would. Will never return to this location. I was told that they had bad customer service but I wanted to give it a try my self. I was very disappointed. Terrible customer service bad management. Was supposed to wait for 15 minutes and it turned out to be between 30 to 45 minutes. Other people showed up after me and they sat them down real fast.

Where do I begin describing how amazing the food is here!?!? Their food is so authentic and delicious and their margaritas are fantastic!!! My husband and I like going here for tasty Mexican food. The atmosphere is so relaxed and laid back. We like to eat outside on the patio when the weather permits because it gives us an opportunity to laugh and enjoy each other’s company while sipping on our drinks. It’s nice and cozy and a great place for couples or friends or co workers to dine and enjoy a comfortable environment.

We found this restaurant via Google since we were in town for a funeral, and none of us were familiar with the area. This restaurant is beautiful. The decor is unique and airy with an outdoor feel to it. The lighting is great too. The service was not very friendly, she never brought refills, only came by to pick up our plates afterwards, not one smile, and we had to hunt her down just to get our bill. The food was disappointing. Perhaps it's because we have a higher level of expectancy from Mexican food establishments, but the food here was very bland. They had absolutely no flavor to them. We ordered a variety of things and it was all the same, very generic. We were two couples, and two of us ordered enchiladas, one cheese enchilada plate, and I ordered green chicken enchiladas. We were surprised to find out that they do not come with tortillas, so we had to order those extra, and they were very raw. When my green enchiladas arrived, they were not green, they were red, so either she didn't write it or they simply didn't read the order correctly in the kitchen. I just kept them because I didn't want to have to wait for them to make them again and she didn't even notice she got it wrong, it she didn't care. My sister ordered the mini tacos and they had absolutely no flavor, and no seasoning to the meat, the onions were not grilled and the plate came with no beans, it was a huge disappointment. My husband ordered the Carrasco plate that comes with a variety of items, all bland, no flavor, no rice, no beans, no tortillas. I ended up having to share my plate with him, it was so disappointing. When the waitress came to pick up our plates, she tipped the plate down and the dirty fork fell on my husband's dress shirt. She handed him a napkin and continued to take the plates to the kitchen. So overall it was unfortunately not a good experience for us. After a long drive, and a sad funeral, it would've been nice to end the day with a good meal but unfortunately for us, that didn't happen. So I would not recommend this place, at least not if you're looking for good food and decent service.

I’ve been living in this area my entire life and have never been to this place and I’ve certainly been missing out. To start, their queso is great. The lunch was delicious. My boyfriend got the mini tacos and loved them and I got the chicken with cilantro and jalapeños and added queso on top (forgot the name of the meal) and it was amazing

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! Came to celebrate our nieces 3rd Birthday. The place is cute and she's a Cinco de Mayo baby. They sat us next to the very obnoxious DJ. Our friend had to leave because of how loud it was, she had her baby. I asked the waitress to please move us or have the DJ lower it just a bit. We couldn't hear ourselves nor the company we were in. Fun fact, I LOOOVE music. My dad was in a band and I grew up around loud music but THIS was on another level. I will say, I get it's Cinco de Mayo BUT THIS WAS OBNOXIOUS AND OVERWHELMING! We just wanted to have a nice dinner and celebrate our niece. I found myself with a triggered migraine and paper balls shoved down my ears to ease the noise. Even at that... it's like the DJ knew we put paper balls in our ear because it just kept getting LOUDER. I tried but couldn't enjoy it the night. I just wanted to leave. They should consider becoming a nightclub instead. Horrid EXPERIENCE if you like to drink and be drunk by 5pm, Club Haciendas is where it's at. Did I mention the service SUCKED too?!?! Never got a refill, my dad ordered a plate to go for my brother and they NEVER brought it. Instead of trying to fix their mistake, they just ignored my dad and said it'll take too long to make. The waitress seemed annoyed since we got there and hardly showed her face. We got there around 7:30 and didn't leave till 10:05. NOT BY CHOICE!!! Everyone just wanted to leave but service was so bad we were there for hours miserable. The food.... NOT WORTH THE EXPERIENCE. We ended up taking off to my place to have cake and open the gifts. You know it's real when even the party side of the family is complaining. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

We had to ask for everything that we needed. We asked for utensils, napkins and more tea. The server made a statement oh you mist.be thirsty because I consume alot of tea.. One meals was good the other meal needed to be sent back because the quesdillias had very little meat.

Beautiful atmosphere, nasty service. My family and I decided to come here to celebrate our mom's birthday. We asked to be seated in a side room, where there's a little more privacy, and our host agreed. However, only minutes after being served our chips and looking through the menu, a waitress with a nasty attitude came over and told us we couldn't sit there. The area wasn't reserved, and there were even 2 other customers eating at another large table in the side room. We explained to her that it was our mom's birthday and we'd be expecting more family to show up soon, but she insisted that we leave the table. After receiving such poor customer service, we decided to leave the restaurant altogether.

Always good food and drinks at Las Haciendas! Enchiladas Mexicanas is where it's at! Onion, cilantro and cotija cheese topped with gravy and more cheese. So much better than cheddar! And don't even get me started with their top shelf margaritas And they have the best happy hour (FREE FOOD) around.

This place was horrible. I dont recommend this place. I ordered the fish platter. Food looked like bagged food from Sam's club. Restrooms are smelly and water all over the floor. Our waiter was not that friendly and took forever to come with our bill. Would never go here again.

  • Jan 04, 2020 by Thione T.

Came here on a Friday night with a big party of 9 people. Luckily they accept reservations, so we didn't have to wait at all for a table. Service wasn't that great, it always felt like an eternity before he would check up on us again. Our chops and dip were never refilled even when asked. As soon as we were seated he took our orders for appetizers and drinks, but it felt like we didn't see the guy again until 20 minutes after we received our orders and by then we were more than ready to order our entrees and of course more drinks. Honestly, I didn't enjoy any of the appetizers. Everything to me tasted bland, and their queso was impossible to put on the chip because it hardened up in less than a minute. You had to get 2 spoons to cut the queso and scope it on the chip. I will say their chimichanga appetizer was actually really tasty. The chicken was very juicy and full of flavor. I ordered a fajita sizzling plate, which almost never disappoints at any of these Tex mex restaurants. Everything was pretty solid except for the ribs. The bbq sauce was just too overpowering. They had a live mariachi band playing and for $20 you can request some music if you're interested. They do make a delicious pina colada. Overall I personally wouldn't want to come back.

I love the decor, especially now with a beautiful tree and the star lighting. (12/19) My family enjoyed our food last night-with the exception of my father (the waitress and manager were exceptionally accommodating). The salsas they bring out are refreshing and spicy, and the queso is delicious. The quesadillas are so yummy. I love the chicken and my sister loves the beef. They are on the apps menu, and are dinner sized. My nephews and nieces (9-12) were automatically given spill proof cups and activity sheets. They were very entertained. I know it is typical for sheets to be provided but not every place outside of national chains do this. The rest of my family's food was gobbled up-no to go boxes! This says a lot, but in this case the best way! They have a lot of parking and a nice atmosphere. In summary: Seats large groups: yes Children: yep Parking: lots of it Quick service: yes, and it depends on you. Clean: yes Affordability: Same as any national chain-I never feel over charged. What to wear?: What you want that is clean.

Had my husbands surprise 60th birthday at this restaurant last night in their party room. They did an outstanding job with EVERYTHING! Had fajita buffet which they added 2 kinds of enchiladas as well. The food was fantastic and the service was spot on. Everyone at the party talked about the food and service. Thanks La Haciendas for making our night great! (Not sure if this posted earlier were having a storm)

  • Feb 02, 2019 by TasteBudAficionado G.

The only thing good about this place, from my experience, was the service. The chips n salsa were the most bland chips n salsa i have ever had, lmao no bs. I ordered a house margarita it was ehh, not strong or too tasty, but it was about $4 so it was coo. I ordered the carne asada, it was a tough slab of beef not well seasoned, idk what those beans were but...yea...i guess i enjoyed the pico and guac though lol. Nice environment and staff though, quick service as well.

  • Feb 01, 2019 by Benny A.

I really don't know why they have such a low score, I've come here manyyyy times and the food and atmosphere are f¥\€ing great!!!!! Prices also may I add. The only issue I've had here was my drink was too strong once. I recommend this place X999

  • Dec 12, 2018 by D S.

I went there with a group of six. We ordered the house margarita and was watered down. I sent it back and ordered a beer in a bottle and it was not cold. It was a Stella and that's a beer that is normally cold because the restocking is not often as if you ordered a bud light or other more common beer. The frozen Hacienda margarita was strong but ok. The waiter did not check on us one time after bringing us our food. The food was decent. We had the bill split into two. When it was brought out there was 20% gratuity added to both tickets. I'm not sure what the party size is in order to apply the gratuity but we didn't want to bother and just paid it and left. Merry Christmas to the waiter.

  • Oct 31, 2018 by Tori M.

I ordered the tres amigos. First bite and I had a huge piece of rubber in it. Then my friend and I used the restroom and found a lovely roach. Don't come here. Also the guy messed up our orders several times. Not sanitary. I totally lost my appetite.

I've been to this restaurant before and it was cool, however last night was very disappointing. My friend and I went here for drinks and food, the hostess was nice when seating us. Only problem was we never had a waitress come by to ask for our orders. There was a lady who brought us chips and dip but no waitress. we sat there for over 30 minutes with no one paying attention to us waving them down. Another group came in and sat next to us and they were immediately served while my friend and I were ignored. that was enough for us to leave. Complete disappointment. Do Better in customer service!

The mariachi band is so loud I have to shout at my husband if I want to talk to him. Unbelievable!

  • Jun 04, 2018 by Iris G.

Awful customer service! Made a reservation during the week for Sunday lunch(mini surprise baby shower-10 people)requested to be put in one of the party rooms for a bit of privacy.Lady i spoke to said it should be ok but would call me back to confirm. She didn't call back until Saturday wanting to confirm if we were still coming.. i said yes & when i asked if she was able to book us into the room.. she put me on hold to go check(meaning she hadn't done it) she confirms again with yes..we can accommodate you, but your sharing the room.. which i knew.. we've been there many times. Sunday she calls again at 11:30am to confirm we're coming @3..i confirm and think we are set. We show up at 3 only to be told there is no reservation under my name. I ask to speak to the manager, he asked whom i spoke to( of all times, i didn't get the lady's name.. but showed him the call log on my phone to prove the restaurant contacted me) he verifies the matching # to his employees phone #. Asks me to give him a minute because every room is booked. He seemed to careless about the situation. So I go on to tell him, this is unprofessional and whomever is responsible for reservations, obviously should not be doing it. He didn't apologize for any of this, asked me to give him a few more minutes( by this time our surprise lunch is ruined because our friend showed up at 3:30..) we decided to take our business somewhere else.. we will not be going back.

I have been here twice the food was very good the atmosphere was nice, I went last night I went to get my dad a gift card unfortunately the service was Horrible!! I waited at the hostess stand for about 10mins only because it was packed and a band was there I figured everyone was busy, i walked around to find someone and a hostess walked up I told her about the gift card by that time a couple was waiting also she said give her a minute she NEVER CAME BACK! The couple had to seat themselves I saw a man sweeping with dress clothes on I asked him was he the manager he said yes I told him I have been here over 15 minutes waiting for someone to give me a gift card he put the broom up told me one second he walked to the back and never came back I was there for over 20mins because I don't live anywhere over there and I know how much my dad likes their food I never received any service or a gift card that is unacceptable!!! And horrible for your business that should not have happened no matter how busy you were and for that reason I would not recommend anyone to eat there

  • Mar 09, 2018 by Goldie G.

While the food wasn't bad, it wasn't great. It was just meh. The salsa and queso were bland. The fajitas were okay. I did like the refried beans and rice. Overall, our fajitas were bland and unexciting. You can get better fajitas with more flavor elsewhere.

  • Feb 23, 2018 by Tommy S.

This was my first time at this place and wasn't treated right, to start with my drink wasn't prepared accordingly to the standards which this restaurant claims they go by, my drink was nothing but in a liquid state when this is suppose to be a frozen drink in a few words it was a frozen MARGARITA with a beer on top and they delivered it not frozen and with a beer on the side and claimed they didnt have the holder so the beer fell off and there was beer all over the table and I told the waiter about it and He said sorry and brought me towels so I could wipe off the table on my own which I did, then they delivered the food after about 45 min. After I ordered it and gave me the wrong order, they will never ever gettin my business again, I was extremely disappointed I cant belive I held my composure all along, this isn't right but anyways I left a 20% gratuity just because, it wasn't about the money, I was expecting a fair and respectful service with a good meal but I was treated like a second class customer.

  • Feb 08, 2018 by Lili M.

The food is amazing!!! I'm Mexican so I'm very critical of where I eat Mexican food. I must say everything was delicious. I totally recommend it. The love bad was a plus!!!!

  • Feb 06, 2018 by Jordenne W.

I'm not going to sugar coat it at all.... this place sucks. How can you call yourself a Mexican restaurant when the rice you have has practically NO flavor or spice, your cheese tastes and looks like plastic and your refried beans taste like they came out of a can??? I was so disappointed and will not be returning ever.

  • Feb 05, 2018 by Cat B.

Ordered the Parrillas de Cocinero, did not come out "sizzling", only thing good about it was fajitas, shrimp brochette and flour tortillas! The stuffed jalapenos with cream cheese was over filled with cream cheese, chicken breast was used for chicken fajitas the result was dry, and topped with oven baked pork ribs with bbq pour over that was disgusting. But at least our server was great.

Manuel, is my favorite bartender. He always makes my cocktails just right. My food is always hot and delicious. When I make an order he always asks clarifying questions.

  • Nov 15, 2017 by Veronica N.

For y'all women tired of seeing some women bartenders behind the counter. This is the place you want to come to to sit at at bar and have a drink.. All male Bartenders and not to mention my favorite bartenders Alexis and Manuel. Also the food always comes out hot! Love the red salsa. And their wing Appetizers. Always a great place to hear the live Band on a Thursday Night. This is my Cheers!!!!!

Mom turned 60 today.. She said they had a good time at happy hour the other week... drinks chips and good company.. tonight was total opposite.. service was horrible and food was cold.. being in the industry for 19 years.. I'm all about good service and good food.. the server sets the mood for the meal... all in all... Horrible!! I had to get up to find him twice. We had a spillage at the table and I cleaned it up.. didn't check on us once... upset bc all we wanted was a good dinner for my moms birthday.. we will never be back to this establishment. Couldn't even find the manager on duty

  • Sep 02, 2017 by Terry M.

Order the regular platters here and you will not be disappointed. Fajitas are good and the margaritas are very good! Good service at the times we have been here. We've been coming here for years and food and drinks have been consistent. We even had a relative's birthday party here! We highly recommend their tres leches cake, even though it is served with a chocolate drizzle and is not authentic, it is amazing. Save room and even if you don't have room for it, order the cake anyway...maybe to go.

  • Aug 20, 2017 by Bob Totten T.

My wife and I have eaten here for years. This is probably the last time. Ordered a margarita on the rocks. No bueno for caca. Sent it back. Service is scetchy at best. Beans a la chara had less than a dozen beans. Order was incomplete. Could not locate waiter for a while. Where did he go? The ol gray mare ain't what she used to be. Roll the dice. Maybe you will luck out. I doubt it. ........... Sux

I am a regular customer and I love the food. Service is always great, I have never had a problem. They have great margaritas and the crowd on happy hour on Monday-Fridays are great. Love this place!

  • May 27, 2017 by Robert P.

The food here taste like shit. It all taste the same. The best thing about this place is the drinks. The older bartender is great, he makes the best mixed drinks around. They do have a quick and friendly wait staff.

I love this place! I'm a regular customer here and have never had a bad experience. They have great service and the best food and drinks! I've gone to many of the Mexican restaurants around town and have yet to find one that can beat there margaritas and fajitas.

  • Jan 07, 2017 by Eric W.

Quick note DO NOT PARK here. Your vehicle WILL BE broken in to and the staff will greet you with a smile while saying, "No, we don't have cameras in our parking lot. Just over the CASH REGISTER..." THIS IS A COMMON OCCURRENCE AT THIS LOCATION.

  • Dec 08, 2016 by Crystal R.

If you're looking for REAL mexican food with the best margaritas in town... stop here! I've been coming here since 2008 and the service is the best in Houston. The food is amazing and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. The owner walks around greeting customers. It's absolutely the best in Houston!

  • Oct 17, 2016 by Leslie M.

After having to flag down multiple waiters for refills and napkins, I won't be back. Food was good but not worth the poor customer service. Do yourself a favor and go to pappasitos

  • Oct 06, 2016 by Bradley R.

I will begin my review on a positive note - their bar drinks are reasonably priced and strong, so be aware. LH also has decent nachos and quesadillas. Now the critical part - I happen to LOVE tortilla chips and salsa, and LH red and green salsas are only average. The chips are good if they are hot and fresh, but very crisp and bland when cold. My main gripe is the fajitas. I prefer medium rare beef and the chicken and beef fajitas are ALWAYS overcooked because of the hot plate they put the mean on to serve at the table. Even when I let the wait staff know I want medium rare and it is ok to serve of a regular plate, the meat is STILL served on hot metal plate - and always over cooked (except once). IF you decide to eat here anyway and like queso, ask them to add pico into the cheese dip, otherwise all you will have is melted Velveta.

If there was a way to rate a restaurant in the negatives I would give this -5 stars. We reserved a room pre advanced for a birthday The room was not prepared we had the slowest service that I've ever received over half of the patrons orders were wrong or did not even receive their food we had to send back drinks and on top of that we got nothing discounted and the manager totally disregarded any and all complaints to the table. WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED AT AN ESTABLISHMENT! I would be ashamed to be the manager and owner. Terrible.

First of all I called 3 times to call in an order to go . All 3 times I was put on hold and no one came back to the phone . I was calling ahead of time so I wouldn't have to wait . So I walked in and sat at the bar for 8 min before anyone noticed me . 4 waiters passed me by without greeting or looking my way . When I flagged down the bartender I ask him are you busy he replied "yeah" but I guess I can help you . He rushed me to order . I was ordering to go so I asked for a margarita while I wait he rushed me with that rattling off what they had but still rushing me . I order my drink and food to go and ask for chips and salsa while I wait from another server she just looked and smile never came with chips and salsa. As I sat there another (Spanish) couple came and sat at the bar and got immediate attention. I guess he figured by looking at me I was just a black guy. Margaritas are just ok so are the chips and salsa. I'll never come back . And I tipped more than 15% on a to go order that took 25 min. And they weren't that busy. I don't like to give bad reviews. But I'll never come back sorry

This place is horrible don't waste you money going here bartender doesn't know how to make drinks at all

  • Jul 17, 2016 by Steve P.

We came here to get drinks a couple of weeks ago. I ordered the "Grande" margarita, which, according to the menu, was made with Don Julio and fresh ingredients. It most definitely did NOT taste like Don Julio and if there was anything fresh in it, it was fresh cheap margarita mix. And at $10, how hard would it be to throw a little fresh lime in it? And what about a little ice? "On the rocks" means with ice, doesn't it? To add insult to injury, the drink was warm! Don't waste your time here.

  • Jul 13, 2016 by Kristina T.

We came here to celebrate my birthday today and it was horrible! We had to keep getting up from the table to find a waiter and he was getting irritated with us because we were bothering him. Then he yelled at us and said there was only 3 waiters for the entire restaurant and told us to deal with a manager if we had a problem. We said no, we don't have a problem, we just want to get our food order in because we had already been there 45 minutes with no service! We should have left, but we had a 1 year old that was already crying and screaming for food at that point if we left they would have been starving for even longer! Took over 2 hours from sitting to leaving on a simple dinner. DO NOT recommend. Food sucked, and with service and horrible staff, I'm surprised this place still exists!

Had my sons graduation party here. Biggest mistake EVER! After speaking with the manager on several occasions, they somehow overbooked the time of the party so it had to be rescheduled. Booked a room for the party and payed a deposit, and instead set us up in the back of the regular restaurant section where staff were walking to and from the kitchen through our party to serve other people. Told one price for the food and was charged $4 more per person. Needless to say, management has No Clue as to what they are doing. All they could say was "oh Sorry" and did basically nothing to appease the situation. At the end of the dinner, management disappeared and made the waitress handle the bill. Live down the street from this restaurant but will Never come here again!

The absolute BEST Mexican restaurant on the planet Earth! I've tried hundreds of Mexican restaurants in Cali, Texas, Arizona, and everywhere in between, NOTHING comes close! Try the top shelf frozen!

  • May 19, 2016 by Lisa S.

My food came out the first time wrong. The next two times its was cold all the way to the middle. At that point I told the lady that I didn't want it anymore. She brought us a bill with just the total on it. Told her I wanted to see it. She told me it was right. Still, would like to see at this point. They took off my meal & charged for my tea. Oh, well, guess I'm going home hungry tonight. Also, had to ask to be seated as waiters stood around and talked.

Chips and hot sauce was good. The beef fajitas were a little tough, but still tasted great. The Shrimp Brochette (which you can add to the fajita's) are worth adding or ordering the appetizer plate (they are large, not jumbo). The chile con queso was plain, tasted like plain melted velveeta. However, we added the pico de gallo that came with the fajitas and voilà - a great queso. The margaritas good, not the best but good. Overall the meal was good. I probably will return, and I would recommend.

Pretty decent place; good food and great atmosphere. Margaritas are done right. One of my area faves for sure.

Margaritas are great! Friendly staff, and really good food.

Food was ok. Service wasn't bad.at the end of the night a ROACH crawled from a folded silverware roll on my table. I just about lost it The manager made lots of excuses and apologized .He even had the nerve to give our table gift certificates to come back.I highly doubt I'll ever go back.

  • Sep 22, 2015 by Mary M.

Food poisoning. This was the last thing I ate since last night and haven't felt this way in a while nauseous and stomach ache all day today. I haven't ate anything at all since last night . So sick. :( I am sorry but never eating there again. Clean right .

Not quite sure if I understand the negative reviews I just read about this restaurant. This place is considerably better than other tex-mex places in the vicinity. The shrimp mojo de ajo was surprisingly excellent and rather unexpected - not overly rich and swimming in butter, but rather very flavorful and fresh. The surrounding steamed and grilled vegetables were cooked to crisp perfection, and it was a done with a finesse that I unaccustomed to in restaurants with this price point. People who equate a Mexican restaurant with a sloppy slab of refried beans and a cheesy mess on their plate may be disappointed, but everyone at our table had a pleasant surprise with their meal - juicy fajita steak, slightly charred and smokey grilled chicken, better than average rice and good salsa. Margaritas were a little meh, but I tend to be overly discriminating. Slow service, but overall good stuff for the $.

Food was okay it wasn't delicious but it wasn't bad either. I really enjoyed the live music on Thursday nights. I had a peach margarita that was really good. However, the service was horrible. It took the waitress thirty minutes to take our order and that was only because my friend got tired of waiting so she complained. Then, when she brought us the ticket she never came to get our cards. We had to give it to another waiter to charge us. I was very disappointed with the service.

Last night, my son wanted Mexican, and trying something a little differnt than our normals spots (Taqueria Del Sol, Jalisco, or Don Carlos) we decided to try out Las Haciendas near Fuqua. I had gone a few times prior, and wasn't too bad. Last time i went was a little over a year ago when i was still pregnant. My youngest son turned 1 the day before yesterday, and we always order his food first, so that we can eat when our food comes out, and he's content (my kid loves food!). The food wasn't too bad at all.... granted at this point all we had tried was the chile con queso, and the child's chicken fajita taco plate. Our food (adult and brother) was being prepared when, while about to feed my 1 year old a spoonful of rice,... crawls out a GERMAN COCKAROACH!!!!!!!!! My son could have eaten it - we're starting to let him feed himself. What if i hadn't noticed it!? It took a minute or so to flag down my waitress, and a waiter that also noticed me calling for someone. Our waitress, a waiter, and a bus boy saw the roach crawling through the food. my skin is crawling as i write this review. Our waitress asked if i wanted to speak to the manager, and i said 'no', and we were not paying, please cancel our order, and we're leaving. I changed my mind on the way out, and spoke with the manager that was behind the bar. He assured me that their pest control was up to date, and offered a certificate to return. I will NEVER return to this location. I just can't stop thinking about my son possibly picking that roach up, or it crawling on him, as he reached for food. I'm appalled, and reported them this morning to the city's health department.

If you have anything to do afterwards : DO NOT drink the happy hour top shelf margaritas! They put me to sleep every single time. Best tortillas in Houston. Sooo fresh. Great Faijitas and free queso and bean dip during happy hour.

TERRIBLE SERVICE AND A MANAGER WHO IS TOO BUSY TO TALK TO CUSTOMERS OR CALL BACK. Last night we came in as a small group of 5 ladies and 1 child for an impromptu Baby Shower. It took at least 5 minutes to be seated and it was not busy. Our food took over an hour to arrive, our server only came over once and we had to flag two other servers twice to get things we needed. My to go order took another 30 minutes. We were at this establishment over 2 1/2 hours and not because we were enjoying ourselves. It took forever to get our bill and she put us all together even though we asked for 3 checks and she included the gratuity which is fine but you still need to come check on your table even though you know you have a guaranteed tip!!!! Plus you would have gotten more if you had let me do 20% like I normally do. I was so embarrassed and disappointed since I was the one who picked this location but did not want to make the Mommy-to-Be uncomfortable by complaining so I waited until I got home to call the manager to share our experience. I was told the manager was too busy to talk to me and he would call me back. Mind you, it was 9pm and it was very slow when we left...how busy could he possibly be?? It is now the next day and have not received a call back. Wow!! That speaks volumes in and of itself. I will not return here again.

  • Jun 04, 2015 by Sandy R.

Service sucks! Walk in... no greeter. Seat yourself... no waiter/waitress or menus. Finally someone wonders over to take order I mean bring menus... we order food and wait! At least 30 minutes and no one comes to table with food or just to check if we needed anything! We get up to walk out and still no one says anything. I will choose where I spend my money... not here! This place sucks! Straight up garbage with very poor management and customer service! I can't say enough about how terrible this place is! Do not waste your money here. You're better off going to taco cabana or taco bell! Did I mention this place SUCKS!

Update: if you're allergic to bees or just appreciate going to a place that cares about its appearance then keep driving. They have had a bee problem for over a year. There is a huge beehive near the entrance. We've been a big fan of this place for years. It's definitely our go to place for Mexican food. The bar area is a little small and gets packed during happy hour. They have a mini nacho buffet off to the side if you go to the bar during happy hour. The service has been pretty consistent. I don't think we've ever had poor service, maybe somewhat slow, but not terrible. Love to get: green sauce (omg I could just eat this and the tortillas!), Don Panchito (enough for 2), Wings Veraquas (spelled it wrong. It's pieces of white meat chicken with fresh jalapeno wrapped in bacon and covered with white cheese - super good!), fajitas (good quality meat), carne guisada, cheese enchiladas, good Mexican rice and re-fried beans. They have a lot of space and I'd feel comfortable bringing a big group here. The parking lot is kinda small. Lots of people park in the lot next to the restaurant after the businesses in the building close. It's never been a problem.

Wow wow wow and one more wow Such an amazing place, nice people and the food...oh man it's the best mexican restaurant in the USA right now for me!!! I'm still at the table trying to digest what just happened,,the beef fajitas was just,,,I'm speechless:)

  • Feb 20, 2015 by G W.

Great food and great drinks they do not skimp on the alcohol involved in making the drinks. My wife is a fan of the fajitas and I get a different combo plate every time I go. I like the don panchito personally but it's always good to try new things every trip. The service here is a excellent a complete night and day compared to across the freeway at Joes crab shack. I am still disgusted from our trip a few days ago. But Hacienda is a nice tex-mex place to go to with a friendly waitstaff and great food.

  • Feb 17, 2015 by Erica V.

I had been to Las Haciendas a couple of years back and there fajitas were great. This time around there fajitas were just ordinary. Nothing to brag about. The service was ok. Next time I want fajitas this will not be my #1 choice.

We have been coming here for a few years now, and I am finally writing a review. Our usual waiter is Samuel and he is absolutely wonderful. On our most recent visit, during lunch, we were served by a waiter who has been there for years. First of all, very rude, setting our drinks on the other side of the table. Ok, I can get past that. It was difficult to get his attention when we needed something. It was like we were bothering him. He was just so disinterested. Then we received our bill. He overcharged us for our margaritas, which were on special written on a giant chalkboard for all to see. I brought it to his attention and it was obvious he couldn't be bothered with me. Another waitress told him he should know the specials and pointed to the chalkboard. He took the bill to adjust the price and when he brought it back it was the same total!!! Really!?? So, again I tell him, this is incorrect, he takes the bill again and brings it back with only one margarita price adjusted. Again I have to tell him that it's incorrect. He just doesn't care in my opinion. Finally, after multiple times adjusting my bill it finally is correct. Such crap. He obviously doesn't like his job or even pretend to care, he must be related to the owner. We won't be coming back to this restaurant unless Samuel is working.

Food was excellent but the service was horrible. Way to crowded seating and the waiter we had never came by to check on us. The woman's bathroom looks like a bomb exploaded

Great selection of premium drinks and the most comprehensive Tequila Menu! Great margaritas and great service.

  • Jan 16, 2015 by Louie G.

Sat at the bar with my wife to have dinner and a few drinks. While waiting, I noticed a baby roach crawling across the bar. Paid for our drinks, canceled our food order, and immediately left. I will never return to this dirty place. STAY AWAY!

  • Nov 01, 2014 by Coco L.

Tried this establishment only because they were open late, which was a mistake. Once we were seated, the service was poor & there were not many people at the restaurant to boot. My daughter had to go get the waitress twice for drink refills. The food was mediocre to poor. The rice & beans were cold and the chips were on the stale side. The salsa and fajitas were mediocre. The atmosphere was just as bad. The music was so loud that you couldn't carry on a decent conversation and it wasn't even a live band! Children were running around and their parents didn't seem to care. Not very smart for the management not to address this issue. The women's restrooms were disgusting & that's an understatement!!! So you can only imagine how nasty they actually were. Taco Bell has better food and service. I give this establishment 1 out of 5 stars.

  • Sep 19, 2014 by Maria Stefanie M.

I want to write a review of five stars for the Michelada that they serve at this place, it is the best I've ever had! I love the spiciness I love everything about it. But, I do want to emphasize how the green sauce from the chips and salsa is disgusting and ordering the green enchilada's I found out that they used exact same sauce, dreadful! The worst thing I've ever had! The bartender that served us was just awesome and the nicest! I will definitely go back just because of the drink and his service, but I'll make sure not to get the green sauce.

  • Sep 03, 2014 by Cara S.

This is a great place for happy hour! Free buffet when you eat at the bar during happy hour. The HH lasts from 4-7... The top shelf margarita is a must!

  • Aug 18, 2014 by J O.

Great food great service nice owner and awesome live music!!! I had the Acapulco platter delicious steak it by far the best carne asada I ever had and fresh tortillas!! Thanks ! Oh yeah and awesome green sauce best ever!!

  • Jul 18, 2014 by Tyler G.

Small portions for the food really salty. The live music advertised was not there, there was just a pay and play band of mexicans. I do not recomend it.

  • Mar 28, 2014 by Nagai B.

This was my go to place until recently. It seems they went on a cost saving binge changing the size of the hot sauce and going with some really cheap plastic-ware included with to go. I'm not sure about the food but it just didn't seem as good as expected. I will give them one more try.

  • Mar 27, 2014 by Maribel H.

Nothing special pappasitos is much better And the service is mere to none!!!! Drinks are not great either but they have a great band on Thursday!!! Would not go back

Food not really good. Service it looks like everyone that works here hates there life.

  • Dec 06, 2013 by L. A.

I made an account just to write this review. This place is terrible. I've been 3-4 times now and EVERY time I have been, the service is ridiculously bad. The first time I went, there was barely anyone there because it was early. I guess the staff decided they didn't need to work so we wound up having to seat ourselves. I figured I'd give it another shot and went with coworkers for a colleague's baby shower. The waiter didn't ask to take our orders for 35 minutes! Then after I specifically asked for the appetizer portion of quesadillas (which didn't even taste good - I mean really, how do you mess up quesadillas?), he brought the check and had charged me for the larger order. When I brought it to his attention he said that he had brought me the large order even though the large order was supposed to have rice and beans and mine did not. This place is terrible and from the managers to the wait staff the attitudes are rude and lazy. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

  • Sep 20, 2013 by Melanie C.

This is a good mexican restaurant that is consistent and has good margaritas. What stands out to me at this establishment are the green salsa, the margaritas and the free happy hour buffet. It is right by 3 movie theaters so, I makes for a convenient place to eat before a movie, too.

  • Jun 03, 2013 by Keith M.

If you want a good mexican restaurant beetwen downtown and clear lake, this will not be a bad choose. Good value and great magaritas. Easy to get to if you are North bond on 45 but easy accessible if you are going south bound as well. Fast service, great green sauce with your chips. Only negative I had was that my dish came out 5 mins before my date dish did. besides that, a place you should visit..

  • May 29, 2013 by Ethan R.

This was my first time at this restaurant. I came in with 11 other people, right at 11pm on a Saturday. Even though it was so close to closing, they still sat us - in our own room, and we were quite well attended. The food came out promptly, and was some of the best Tex-Mex fare I've ever had. The others in the group quite enjoyed it too. This is all great, but this alone does not make a 5-star review in my mind. What puts this over the top is that the restaurant allowed us to sit and enjoy ourselves, all the while being catered-to, until approximately 1:00 AM! They never once asked us to leave. They were quite friendly, in fact, and seemed to be happy just to have us there. What they did not know is that within our group we had three Hollywood Celebrity VIPs and an Astronaut. The way they cared for us is greatly appreciated. I will be back. Thank you!

Really like this place. I've been to mexican restaurants from Galveston to Dallas and this is at the top. Great live music on Thursday's and the food is consistently good. Best beef fajitas that are so tender!

Best Tex Mex food in Houston by far. Within a five mile radius there are 15 Tex Mex joints and Santos does it right. Quality food, service, and atmosphere. If Steffy 'D' liked Mexican food, then her review would be credible.

I've had my fair share of Mexican food here in Houston. We just got a half order of nachos and that was allot and really good too! The beef fajitas were the best I've had in Houston! Very tender, juicy, and delicious! We came on a Thursday night-- I don't know if they always have live music. But it was sweet! Loud, but lots of fun! I'll definately be coming back here!

  • Jul 31, 2010 by Tim F.

My wife and I have visited here several times and often take our out of town guests here. Their food is very good Mexican fare - I enjoy their chimichangas as well as their fajitas. Their top shelf Hacienda Margarita is excellent and potent as all good margaritas should be. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is nice (especially on Thursdays when they have live bands), and the wait staff have always been very friendly to us.

  • Jul 25, 2010 by Stephanie K.

Let's just say that I'm not going to come back EVER again. The only reason why I was there was because of a birthday dinner. I looked at the menu and it was your typical tex-mex affair. I ordered ONE taco and ONE enchilada because I didn't feel like getting the whole plate. I don't eat beans, so I thought it was a waste to order a whole plate when I can just order a taco and an enchilada. When the waiter took my order I told him I would like one chicken enchilada and one beef fajita taco. He asked me if I wanted corn or flour tortilla and I told him that I wanted corn. Then he proceeded to ask me what I would like in my taco, (lettuce and tomato).I said sure! I usually eat my taco with onion and cilantro instead of lettuce and tomato. So I asked him for some onions and cilantro along with the lettuce and tomato. He told me that it would cost extra. FINE. Whatever. Im sure it will be like 50 cents- $1 extra. The food came out, with ONLY one taco. HE completely forgot about my chicken enchilada! I'm usually very uh PARTICULAR, when it comes to my food. I mean seriously, was it that hard to write down 1 chicken enchilada and 1 fajita taco? I figured it wasn't even worth it to fret about my missing enchilada. So the taco came out with 2 extra dishes of onion and cilantro.. Seriously? You can't just put it on my plate as a side? I only ordered 1 freaking taco.. I swear the taco tasted like Taco Banana, except missing some lime and hot sauce.. When the check came out. They charged me $1.99 for the extra onions and cilantro, and $2.99 for the one taco. Apparently there was an extra charge somewhere for ordering a fajita taco that the waited neglected to inform me about. In the end, my ONE taco came out to be about $5. That is one freaking expensive taco that tasted like Taco Cabana. So NEVER AGAIN!
