Manager Lady was very warm and Welcoming ! Rooms were clean , cool and comfortable. Breakfast consisted of Texas Waffles, sausages, scrambled eggs (not fresh cracked eggs - more like liquid eggs made by mass quantity.) Toast, Bagle, muffins, yogurt, oral meal packets , Coffee, Fruit loops, Cheerios . Breakfast was always fresh . Breakfast area was always kept clean by hotel lady and she kept everything stocked .

    Hotel only has one elevator.

Pillows were not as comfortable. Beds are a bit worn out and fold out couch was not comfortable at all .

Over all stay was Great !

As parents of a TAMUCC student that visits periodically, we will not be returning to this particular hotel. I usually writes more positive reviews, but the worst part was the staff we encountered staying from the evening of 4/29/24- 4/30/24 checkout. The 2 ladies at the front did not even acknowledge me as I entered. I just stood there in silence with my arms overloaded. No other customers were around or anything. When my husband came in about 2 minutes later, the ladies immediately greeted him, assisted him, and told him to have a good night. Not once during leaving & entering multiple times nor during breakfast was I addressed. Why they chose to be respectful to my husband only, I have no clue. The rooms are extremely small and have no closets. If you want to hang something, use the shower rod.

Nice little place to stay. Staff was nice. Beds very comfortable. Spacious rooms. A little noisy at night

While the employees are nice & the location is great- the hotel itself is disgusting. I initially booked this hotel for 2 nights based on the reviews and wow what a surprise when I see the actual room. The bathroom is filled with mold. I'm talking on the ceiling, the caulking, the wallpaper is coming up and there's mold exposed there too.

When my kiddo went to go take a bath, a bunch of white pieces of the bath tub started coming up. I went down to the front desk and they said the bath tub was recently resurfaced and maybe it hadn't cured yet. Okay? No resolution was offered except to switch to a room that not all of us could fit into and sleep. The other rooms with 2 beds were supposedly sold out. The condition of the room (and cleanliness) is so bad, I would never recommend anyone to stay here and I surely won't be back.

Came with the family on short notice to go fishing . Picked this place do to its proximity to local fishing piers. The room was awful. Disgusting pull out sofa , springs are exposed , looks like it was soaked at one point . No sheets or blankets in the room for the pull put . Blanket had a stain . Second floor hallway had no AC, they had a portable unit hooked up in the hallway. Broken Washer.

They were nice and did get it swapped but I am pretty sure with this type of oversight there are plenty of other things wrong

My recent stay at Comfort Suites Near Texas A&M - Corpus Christi on October 6th, 2023, in room 304 left much to be desired. Firstly, the television in the room was not functioning properly. After calling the front desk, I was instructed to collect new batteries for the remote. However, even with the new batteries, the issue persisted. The manager was called in, and during their attempt to fix the TV behind the furniture, a syringe was discovered. Furthermore, the room had a noticeable and unpleasant pet odor, and there was evident mildew and rust inside the bathtub. Despite these issues, the manager declined to provide an alternative room, stating that no double rooms were available. Curiously, when I checked online, there appeared to be an ample supply of double rooms. Consequently, my stay was cut short by a day, and I opted to move to the Springhill Suites instead. I recommend thoroughly inspecting the room before considering a stay at this establishment.… Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns, see you soon.

Definitely you pay for the location. It's minutes from the beach, hotel overall very old, grimy and in desperate need of updates / remodel. The carpets almost had a gooey feel on them. Furniture is all very dark a lot of scratches dings broken pieces. Make sure to bring your own pillow unless you like to sleep on lumps and rocks. Despite the bad shape of the hotel itself the customer service from the staff was excellent. Very helpful.

  • Sep 07, 2023 by David Johnson

(5 stars reserved for exceptional serv/prod) Great hotel. Very much what you would expect from hotels this size. My only reservation was the parking. They have additional, but it's not directly in front of the hotel. Service was awesome. Basic Breakfast was included... eggs, bacon, cereals, yogurts, coffee, juices. The kids love the huge cylindrical aquarium in the middle of the breakfast, reception area. Wifi worked great. Rooms were large (double queen) with a pullout couch if needed. good size restrooms.

  • Jul 19, 2023 by Miranda H

Rooms were very clean and staff was always nice and very helpful. Breakfast was always good. The pool was always clean and never crowded. We had a room with 2 full beds and a pull out couch. I don’t know if all the rooms are like that but it was a nice addition considering there were 4 of us in the room and the price of our stay was not expensive at all. There is a nice Mexican restaurant across the street that we ate at. Gas station right next door and a CVS that we walked to when we needed. If we vacation again in corpus we will definitely stay here.

We decided to have a weekend getaway in Corpus Christi and found this hotel as the best value for the money. Luckily this hotel was OK, with a large dual queen suite with room for 2 adults and 2 kids.It took us only 10 minutes to drive to the beach at Padre Island. The room was quiet. Beds were comfortable and breakfast ok. Wifi was a bit slow though, as kids could not stream their favourite you tube channels. Next door is a gas station were you can buy snacks and some warm food like pizza. All in all a OK stay and we would return if we visit Corpus Christi again. Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns, see you soon.

I do like this hotel But I am a little upset that their wifi has been inoperable on my last two visits. May have to rethink my stays here and find a hotel with wifi that works. I love this hotel. Good location and friendly people I call for my reservations and get awesome rates Everything is close! Great service and very clean.

This hotel saved me and my boyfriend's anniversary!! We came all the way from San Antonio and planned to camp on the beach. Unfortunately we were unprepared for closed down over night campers because of the tide. We made a reservation at this hotel and made the mistake of making it on the wrong day. Rosy!!!! Was our saving grace! She made it happen. We are so thankful & will recommend this place to all of our friends & family. Great prices, amazing workers, best breakfast! Couple minutes from the beach. Thank you Rosy. And thank you Comfort Suites. :)

I can’t thank comfort suites enough for having Rosie the night manager. This trip was very stressful my 19yo son had been in the hospital he was released and I was stressed and away from home in houston we had my sons working dog with us.Rosie was so kind during check in when I went down to walk my dog I noticed her greeting the hotel guest by name or asking how there day was. She went above and beyond Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns, see you soon.

Very clean. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. did NOT like the high beds !!!! They make the room seem smaller and they are harder to get in and out of.

  • Jul 01, 2022 by Michael R

Always professional, helpful and kind staff, clean and well stocked breakfast buffet, and clean rooms. Late checkout of noon with most times an extension to 1:00 is possible. Only 15 minutes to beaches, less than 45 minutes to Port A, close to shopping and restaurants. Room key has discount for restaurant across the street which is excellent. Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns, see yo soon.

The room was a nice size, we got the king bed and suite on the 2nd floor. The king size bed was very comfortable. The free breakfast was wonderful. I had scrambled eggs and sausage with coffee each morning, except the last day which was eggs and bacon. Delicious. The staff was kind and helpful. The exercise room was good, I did the elliptical and the arm weight machine. Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns, see you soon.

We booked 2 rooms, prepaid in advance via the Choice app (it was a few dollars cheaper paying in advance with no cancelation option). They, of course, immediately charged the credit card and it went to pending. 3 days later, we got down there and checked in. Then around 3:15am, our card was charged again for the full cost of another room plus about $9 for incidentals or something. Here we are a week later and the initial 2 rooms have cleared but the additional charge is still pending ... tying up our fuel money. The front desk clerk was clueless (and couldn't even check us out of one of the rooms) and we never heard a word from a manager or anyone else on the other charge. The last time this happened to us, the hotel (not this one but another Choice hotel) had stolen our card number and racked up over $2,000 in charges, completely draining our account. So yes... I'm a little head shy and will be turning this hotel in to our bank for fraud on Monday.… Thank you for staying at comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns, see you soon.

Cities that are close by the beach on this side of the country, have a smell; as soon as I entered the place, I smelled it. It is caused by the humidity, and is really difficult to get rid of that smell. They had machines that clean humidity in the environment by the way. When my daughter was showering a piece of the roof came off on her, it was a bubble on the material caused by humidity, nothing heavy but came off, the cleaning ladies need to report those things to get fixed. Someone came and cleaned it, and my husband got some refund on a "gift card" to his email, so...points for that. Service in the kitchen buffet was good, nothing espectacular, the usual breakfast. I would try another hotel next time.

  • Aug 04, 2021 by R M.

Breakfast was terrible!! Also got tired of always waiting for the elevator. Only had one washing machine so we had to wait and the dryer sucks!

  • Aug 01, 2021 by vacayonbeach

The hotel seems to be in good location as it is super close to highway and short drive to airport and plenty of restaurants located off highway. The breakfast was good. The pool area was nice and well maintained with a small covered patio area that was definitely a bonus. The hotel was in good condition but unfortunately the housekeeping was subpar as our trash wasn't emptied while we were there. I did mention it to the front desk and they seemed genuinely concerned. Overall it was a decent stay and I will likely stay there again if we are in Corpus next year for the same event. Thank you for staying at comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns, see you soon.

I stayed here for two nights in March 2020 and everything was great. This time was good, but not great. The front desk person was wonderful and helpful. All good so far. However, there were a couple of issues with my room, #308. The WiFi was very weak, maybe half the normal strength bars showing on my IPad. I assume this was due to being on the third floor and down the hall. I was unable to even log on to several websites. This did not bother me too much as it was for only one night as I was waiting for my month long condo stay to be available the next day. The other issues with #308 were a strong, unpleasant smell from the refrigerator. Also the exhaust fan made a loud rattle upon starting. On the plus side, the bed was super comfortable, the ac was quiet and worked great and the tv had plenty of channels. My room was very quiet and spacious with a couch, microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast was weak, due to Covid precautions. Some microwave burritos and egg/sausage muffins. Plenty of coffee. Both the lady working the dining area and the man at the front counter were very nice. I did not a few guests walking around without mask, but not the majority. All in all a good stay, but not as good as the year before due to the room. Very easy to get to the hotel and plenty of parking. A few restaurants were within walking distance. I would stay here again while in route to my condo on the island.… Thank you for staying at comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns, see you soon.

Cons: 1. tub has peeling finish everywhere and not clean. There was hair in it also. 2. Hotel worker knocked once on my room door. Then he opened the door and started coming in as I was walking towards the door. 3. The line for check in wrapped around the lobby. I went to the restroom and came back....line was still long. A worker was leaving and another guest who was waiting to check in asked them where the front desk agent was. He said he had no idea. 4. There is no bedding in the room for the sofa bed. You have to ask for it. 5. Hotel was sold out so there was no way to ask for a room with an acceptable tub. 6. Pillows lumpy and uncomfortable. 7. Parking lot is small and fills up quickly. I had to park on the side of the building. 8. Wifi is slow when it works. It kept disconnecting. The speed was normal after 1am. 9. Cannot run microwave and tv at the same time. If you do it will cause both to shut off. 10. Dryer had a bandaid stuck inside. 11. I went to the front desk to ask questions and heard a different guest mention they did not have hot water. Pros: 1. clean beds. 2. minutes away from food places and activities. 3. Plenty of prepackaged breakfast options. I travel often. I stay at comfort suites hotels if my favorite brand is not available in my desired location. I was terribly disappointed with this hotel. I really wish I chose a different hotel. I will not stay at here again. Since the hotel was sold out the owner should be able to afford to invest in the quality of the hotel.… Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns, hope to se you soon. We apologize about your stay but our staff takes pride in making sure each guest leaves with a memorable stay. See you soon!

Stayed here this past Thursday and Friday night Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and spacious Brought my wife's service dog, just had to show paper work, no big deal. On Friday night I took the dog out one more time around midnight. I forgot the front doors locked from 11-7am, and of course I forgot my key. So I rang the bell and was let in. I said to the lady "thanks i forgot my key" She looks at me like I'm a criminal or something and says with an attitude "do you even have a room here" I'm thinking to myself, no lady I'm just going to go stay in a random room What kind of a question is that? I told her yes I do and stated my room number Then she proceeds, still with an attitude "and you have a dog" I respond with "yes, she's my wife's service dog" Then her "well do you even have paperwork" I cut her off and stated "yes and I'm not showing you because I don't need to, we've already been here two nights and gone through this" and I just walked off I don't know if she was having a bad night or what but it really left a bad impression for me Other than this everything else was good

We reserved a suite in this hotel for a quick weekend beach trip. We were traveling with myself, my husband, 15-year-old son and 24-year-old son, so we needed more than just the standard two queens. We reserved a suite with 2 queens and a sleeper sofa. The beds were very comfortable, but the mattress on the sleeper sofa was horrible. It felt like you were sleeping on straight bed springs. No padding whatsoever between the springs and your body! My 15-year-old, 230 pound son ended up having to sleep on the sofa, with his legs hanging off the end. Not at all comfortable. If all of the rooms with sleeper sofas have the same mattress, then they desperately needs to replace all of them. The room, if you look closely, needed a little work. There was heavy dust between the refrigerator and the cabinet walls. A toy and trash were behind the table between the beds. We were in a connecting room, and could easily hear the people next to us. We were also on the 2nd floor, and the people above us must have had a small child who ran around the room for a few hours. If you are looking for a very quiet room, this isn't it. The noise didn't really bother us, though. Would love to say we could stay here again, but because we need the extra bed (sleeper sofa), this hotel will not be an option for us, unless they purchase new, more comfortable mattresses for the sleeper sofas. If you don't need the sleeper sofa, and a little noise doesn't bother you, then this is a good value for your money. … Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns, hope to see you soon.

My family and I stayed here when we moved our daughter in to TAMUCC. From the time we arrived Rosie went above and beyond to make us feel right at home. The rooms are very spacious with comfy beds. They also have a fridge and microwave which was a nice addition. The walls were a tad on the thin side as we could hear our neighbors, however, they weren't up late so it was no big deal. Because of Covid-19 they did not have a full hot breakfast but rather a continental breakfast, which was still nice. If you want a hot breakfast there is a McDonalds right down the road. As much as it was a sad weekend, leaving our baby, the staff did a phenomenal job making us feel like family. Thanks Comfort Suites and we can't wait to stay again when we are down visiting our daughter!!! Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns, hope to see you soon.

  • Jun 14, 2020 by Ivette A.

The reason this gets 4 stars and not 3 is the customer service! Since I checked in I was treated SUPER nicely! The lady at the front desk was super nice and helpful and was very informative about the COVID changes to breakfast and the pool usage (which I also got a voicemail about a week ago regarding that info & appreciated the call before they charged me!) Plus the hotel is only 15 minutes from the beach ‍ The room was very clean and spacious. The ONLY downside is the TV wasn't working so no TV the first night. The second night when we got back to the hotel we told a different lady at the front desk and she happily and quickly resolved the issue! I DEFINITELY recommend this hotel for a weekend getaway. Will be staying here again on my next trip to Corpus!

Breakfast was amazing, the service was good and the beds were comfortable.the only complaint I have is the tv.The tv did not let me hook up my Xbox to it.but every thing was great.

  • Mar 01, 2020 by Randolph N

A perfect stay from check in to check out. Really nice front desk staff. My room was spacious and comfortable that included a fridge, microwave, couch, comfortable bed, nice shower and bathroom. AC was great along with fast WiFi and lots of channels on the tv. Walls are a little thin as I could hear the neighbors TV...not overly loud, more of a light murmur which was not loud enough to keep me awake. The included breakfast was the usual hotel fare: waffles, bagels, toast, cereals, fruit, eggs, bacon, milk and coffee. The ladies who worked in the breakfast area were very nice and kept the room stocked and clean. I spent two nights here and would stay again anytime. Very easy to get to as it is right off the main freeway Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

Debbie at the front desk was outstanding! She went above and beyond in making our stay so fantastic. The accommodations were perfect and Debbie’s extra tips on ways to spend our time led us to have an amazing day at Port A. We appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

  • Dec 01, 2019 by DannyWasserman

We were greeted like Kings of the World. The lady at the desk was the best ever, she hooked us up with maps and brochures of the town and gave us directions to everything. I mean it doesn't get any better than that. The rooms were great for our two night stay and the breakfast was free and bountiful for a king and queen. I liked here so much, I gave her one of my T shirts. You should go there if in town !! Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

The Front desk staff member Debbie was repeatedly rude . the hotel staff put us on the second floor with our 5 children and continued to call our room telling us it was our last warning at excessive noise when everyone in our room was asleep. After the third call at 11:40 at night the other adult in the room went down stairs ( I was to upset from Debbie's multiple rude calls) come to find out there were several rooms with children on the second floor and they just assumed our room was making all the noise. WE WERE ALL SLEEPING. Debbie repeatedly told us "they should never have put y'all on the 2nd floor" NOT OUR FAULT Debbie!!!! we would have happily moved to the first floor. We spent only enough time to sleep in the room due to Debbie's accusations. I have never complained about service but to this date Debbie was the worst.

Came to stay for a couple days and hit the beach with my son for my 50th birthday. The hotel was in a good location to Mustang Island, the hotel staff was friendly, they had hot dogs and chips the night we checked in and the hot breakfast was good, and the rooms were decent, BUT the AC in my room 301 wasn't. The first night the room was warm and the ac leaked and the floor was wet. I immediately went to the front desk and told the clerk hoping to change to another room but was told they were all booked up. The clerk did come to our room and brought some towels to put under the unit and proceeded to look at it. He then told me he was going to see if he could get the maintenance guy in to take a look at it. The next day we were at the beach all day and came back to a still warm… Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we precipitate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

Really nice location. Rosie Carballeria checked us into a king size with a pullout couch. She was very nice and gave us bedding. The room wasn't clean when we first came in; however, the staff came to fix it by changing the sheets and cleaning the restroom. There did seem to be a little attitude and annoyance, I guess because they felt that we were doubting that they did their job. The hallway smelled awful because the janitorial door was left open with several large trash bags inside the room. I told the front office and it was quickly addressed. The smell left after a while. The TV in the room is not showing picture correctly. Overall I am still satisfied with my stay, because I have stayed before, the front office is friendly, breakfast is nice, and the hotel is just 15 minutes away from the beach.

What can I say other than my family and I had a great time visiting corpus. We were welcomed with smiling faces and with great attitudes! Place was clean and the location of the hotel was perfect. Midway point to the state aquarium, north beach, padre island, and many shopping places. To finish it off Debbie stood out to us and will forever be in our memories, she made our little girls Birthday memorable by making her famous waffle sprinkled with skittles lol and a lit candle singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY along with everyone in the breakfast area. Thank you debbie!! Thank you for staying at comfort Suites Near Texas A&M, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

The hotel has a wonderful front desk, each associate was very nice. Breakfast was hot and they opened a side room for seating. Only negatives were AC in our room was slow.. it cooked but blower was weak. The shower took 7 minutes to get warm and the sprayer was very weak on every setting. However, the room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. As stated in other reviews, one elevator that you had to wait awhile on, and ice machine broke on 4th floor, had to go down to get ice. All these things said, we would still stay there again. Thank you for staying at comfort Suites Near Texas A&M, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

  • Jun 01, 2019 by Danny P

Best part was the AC in the room. Very cold. Location is close to Mustang Island and North Padre Island. About five minutes from malls and shopping areas. However, the property itself did not meet expectations for the price. Breakfast was standard hotel Free breakfast however I have had better with more options. Only one elevator that in the morning was being used by guests as well as housekeeping staff. Had to have room keys reprogrammed twice during two night stay. I expected better for the price. Thank you for staying at comfort Suites Near Texas A&M, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

We arrived, without reservations, and booked a room quickly, getting a better rate than shown online. Very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was spotless, roomy, and very comfortable. Good a/c and wifi. Refreshing, clean pool and hot tub. Good, hot breakfast in AM. Snacks and laundry on site, close to stores and restaurants, and beach access. Highly recommended! This is our second time back at this hotel! And Debbie is still excellent and a friendly welcoming employee! Me and my wife and our kids feel very comfortable here and LOVE there employees! There all friendly ! We stayed in room 110 the first time and now we are in room 112 since it's near the pool and a exit/enter door and this is our place to stay every time we will come to this area in the future! Also every room comes with a mini fridge and microwave! And plenty of towels and toiletries! And each room has a small living area with a couch that turns into a bed!

We had a three night stay and the location was convenient for our purposes. Debbie was super friendly, and attentive to our needs. The shower rod in my bathroom was pulling out of the wall and I reported it the evening of check in; the shower was usable so I just asked that it be fixed the next day. It was repaired and as soon as Debbie saw me, she asked was it repaired. Considering the hotel was sold out and the number of people coming in and out, I was impressed that she remembered and was thoughtful enough to make sure that the repair had taken place. You barely had to wait on yourself at breakfast. Debbie and the other lady, I am sorry, I didn't get her name, were interacting with the guests, making sure you had everything you needed as well as cooking pancakes and waffles… Thank you for staying at comfort Suites Near Texas A&M, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. My husband and I stayed here for three nights and we were very pleased. We were welcomed right away, before we even went inside and checked in. Every employee we encountered was very courteous and helpful, but Debbie went out of her way to make us comfortable. She was so kind, asking us about our stay and if the furniture upgrade was bothering us in any way. We were in the hotel at different times each day and we heard no noise and had no disruption of any kind. The breakfast was above average in that the waffles were in the shape of the state of Texas. The food was fresh, l liked the Greek yogurt and the variety. Again, every employee spoke to us whenever they saw us, offered assistance and made our stay enjoyable. Debbie went above and beyond that and made our stay… Thank you for staying at comfort Suites Near Texas A&M, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

The pluses: *Same room layout as other CS *great for family of 5 (pull out couch) *Free breakfast *Good location near University & eateries The minuses: *Their reservation system was down It took almost an hour to check in *Heard an employee use foul language as we ate breakfast *Guests were complaining about the WiFi Overall nice somewhat new hotel. I would stay again if I got a good rate.

We were in town to watch my daughter play soccer at TAMUCC. This location was perfect as it was close to the fields, the campus and plenty of places to eat. The FRIENDLIEST STAFF, clean rooms, pool and jacuzzi were just right and the breakfast was awesome. Really affordable prices. I just want to say that you to the front desk for being so kind and thank you to the blonde woman (sorry didn't get your name) serving waffles in the morning. Def be back

Stayed at this hotel for a week. The rooms are okay. We booked a room that had a roll in shower, but when we arrived we were in a regular room. Luckily a room was available with a roll in shower. This has happened before at other comfort inns, their reservations isn't that great even when you have .com formation on your reservation. This particular hotel needs to look for a variety of options for breakfasts. When you are there for a week without much variety, i would give them a 1 star on breakfast! Also, they had no wake up service. One morning we really needed one and the desk clerk came and knocked on the door. This morning when we needed one to make our airline and needed a wake up call at 4:30, no one showed up! Pretty poor service. The only reason for a 3 rating was Debbie at the front desk. I believe that was her name. Very, very personable! Made us feel very special, but comfort inn and suites is sure slipping. We are probably going to look for another chain of hotels to use for travel.

My family and I stayed here and were bowled over by the extremely helpful staff! They were extremely kind and gracious. They made us feel like we were family. Debbie at the front desk was very sweet and spent time showing my 3 year old daughter the fish in their aquarium in the breakfast area. The hotel was conveniently located to Port Aransas and many Corpus Cristi attractions. The room was clean and spacious and we were very satisfied. Thanks for the great service! hank you for staying at Comfort Suites Near Texas A&M, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

The lobby and rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were nice, even leaving breakfast out a few minutes extra. The lobby has a very well maintained large fish tank, which was a pleasant surprise. The desk clerk was very helpful and accommodating by allowing me an extra 30 min late check out and I even stayed in the lobby a few hours after checking out to finish working on a document for my job. I plan to stay again. hank you for staying at Comfort Suites Near Texas A&M, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

The friendliest staff work here. Debbie and John are the best to work with and went above and beyond for our group. We had a group of 12 for our trip and had other groups with us. They answered questions and recommended local spots for food and entertainment. John was the best at getting everything set up with our multiple groups. Debbie was a ball of sunshine every morning. Breakfast had a lot of options including Texas shaped waffles (yum). I would definitely stay here again. Thanks to Debbie and John for welcoming our Austin area Explorers and making us feel at home.

Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel. The friendly staff were all very helpful and courteous. After an entire week stay, Debbie from the front desk seemed more like a friend than a host. Even my very shy 4 year old son looked forward to seeing her every morning.

This is my 1st time staying at a comfort suites, and this hotel is going to be hard to beat! The hotel was super clean and the staff was amazing! We had 0 issues out of this hotel and that is something to be proud of! Debbie was amazing every time we saw her! She ran around as front desk, saw her helping breakfast and even doing laundry! Her customer service skills are wonderful! Yall should be super proud of her and be lucky to have her! Thank you for the home away from home! hank you for staying at Comfort Suites Near Texas A&M, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

Stayed July 2017. Overall decent hotel, but I was using the lobby restroom and front desk guy tried to open the door (single occupancy) which of course was locked. Instead of realizing someone was in their, he took his keys out and unlocked the door. Once he saw me he left, leaving the door unlocked. hank you for staying at Comfort Suites Near Texas A&M, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

This hotel has all the standard amenities including a fridge, microwave, wifi. Etc. It also has breakfast which was pretty good and a pool and hot tub. Water on the pool was cloudy and the hot tub needed a good cleaning! The room was clean, but a little worn. Staff was pleasant, but not exceptional. I think we will try somewhere else next time. hank you for staying at Comfort Suites Near Texas A&M, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

It has been a few years since last we stayed here, and glad to say it has kept up well and the hotel is still under good management and service. The rooms are in good condition and spacious with fridge a micro. The fridge probably may not have been working, but for an overnight stay we didn't worry about it. The wall are a little thin and you can here some noise, but the beds are comfortable enough that it was easy to fall asleep. We came back to stay close to the beach and it is an easy drive to many popular restaurants in the city. Like the fact that they had a small shop downstairs for drinks and snacks and had prices that were the same if not lower than a gas station. Great working hot tub was a plus as well. hank you for staying at Comfort Suites Near Texas A&M, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

No I am not saying this is a 4 star hotel. It is a 3.5 star experience so I rounded up. Quite honestly we were a little leery to see that we'd been placed at Comfort Suites when we booked a Priceline deal but we were very pleasantly surprised. The entrance to the hotel is beautiful with hibiscus flowers and once you step in the lobby there's a pretty aquarium with lots of colorful fish. The check-in process seemed to take a long time however the employee was courteous and helpful. The hotel itself was freezing but I really haven't found any hotel in Corpus that is not due to the humid weather and the need to keep things from being moldy. The room was beautiful and had a cute little sitting area with a sofa & chair which were very comfortable. The bed was super comfortable and we had about six or eight pillows to choose from. The shower was good and there was a nice grab bar and plenty of towels. The breakfast included scrambled eggs (not the best) sausage, yogurt, orange juice ,waffles muffins, bananas and other fruit , coffee and hot water for tea. Bonus--closer to the beach than most priceline deals!

We stayed her at the beginning of June 2018. Wasn't an uncomfortable environment at all. Felt comfortable with our 3 kids staying there with us. The lady at the front desk (I think her name was Debbie) was very friendly and accommodating upon arrival and throughout our stay. She was even there in the morning making the waffles for everyone and helping all the guests out. They kept the dining area clean and there was a decent amount of food. The little cheese omelets were pretty good, the eggs reminded me of field eggs (if you're military, you know what I'm talking about), but throw some salt on them and they were alright. Beds were comfy and not a far drive to North Beach, or Port A. We had a great time and will stay here again next time! Thanks Comfort Suites team! See ya next time!!!!

My husband & I spent a few days at the Comfort Suites. The location is nice- Not too far of a drive down the road to mustang island, close to TAMUCC, great Mexican food & Whataburger right across the street, clean & quiet room. Extra plus, their staff at the front desk (thanks Debbie!) & cleaning were friendly & helpful. We enjoy staying off 358 so we will plan to be back again next beach trip to the Comfort Suites. The hotel and the rooms were kept clean - I think. The lighting in the hotel, especially in the rooms is very, very dark. This is great for sleeping but if you are trying to do anything while awake keep a flashlight handy. The plus - the staff is great and was very accommodating while we were there. The minus - the dining area is a nice size but no one, and I mean no one would eat the breakfast after the first day. Comfort Suites Near Texas A&M appreciates your business and guest concerns. Had a friend sleep on the pull out mattress and it was terrible. The box springs were pulling out of the small mattress. It was honestly better to sleep on the floor. Called the front desk and they offered no solution but to stick with it. There was no extra mattresses they could give us or even some type of cot.

This is the cleanest, most comfortable hotel room we've ever been in. We had a king bed, and there was a sofa and chair in the sitting area. Shout out to Debbie: She's fantastic. Not only does she work the front desk, she also acts as hostess and waitress during breakfast.

We are choice Plus members for many years and stay at Comfort Suites regularly when we travel. Although this location was great, the hotel lobby was nice and room clean, and the room had great bed, we will not be back. We asked for a quiet room at time of booking. We were put across from the elevator. In the middle of the night we were awakened by the blaring music from the PA system in the hallway and had to call front desk to have it turned down. Our shower had mold growing in the grout. Not cool. We paid a premium to stay here and we explained all this at checkout but didn’t get much response other than they’d talk to the manager later. System was so slow at checkout we never got our receipt either. Definitely won’t be back. May look into other hotels lines for future travel. We apologize for the inconvenience and have retrained staff on customer service, hope to see you soon.

Stayed here for one night on a quick trip to Corpus Christi. After a bit of a snafu about booking with Booking.com, which was worked out & thankfully, they honored the price & gave us a room, we enjoyed our stay. The beds are very comfortable with nice bedding. The room was clean with a good a/c which is necessary in the summer. Will probably stay here again. Cheers! This hotel was convenient to the beach but also had a very nice pool area. Very clean, very hospitable and comfortable. Breakfast was only served until 9am which made for sleeping in hard during vacation time but nevertheless it was delicious, hot, plentiful and a variety of options!! I used this hotel ten years ago and the owner has kept it looking great ever since!! We’ll use it next time we’re in CC!!! I usually don't write reviews for hotels because they're all the same. You check in and check out. Employees are just in the background either gloomy or silent, but 'cousin' Debbie- the morning/early afternoon receptionist was AMAZING!! ever since we checked in, she was helpful, friendly and dull of Fun and Joy. Aside from being the best waffle maker she is also informative. I'm not a person that likes being talked to by strangers, but I didn't mind when our family adopted her into our family by the second day. We came to Corpus Christi for my oldest sister's wedding. We had about a 17-20 hour drive from GA and the hotel had a dark colored modern decor. Clean, easy use Tv, plenty of towels and citrus smelling lotion. The Gym is a bit lacking but they have a pool and a hot tub… Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

The reviews had me leary of this place. We're staying at 4 different Comfort Suites this week, and this is #1. Lobby and breakfast area were very clean when we arrived and checked in. Room 102. So we get there and it's first floor, next to the stairs, and next to an exterior door. Should have changed rooms right then but we let it slide. Mistake. Heard every person going up and down stairs. Heard the door slam every time some one came in or out. Footsteps from above made it obvious there was more than one person in the room above us. Did I piss off the hotel gods or what? I said something at the front desk the next morning and she said the door slammed because it was broke. They locked the door until it could be fixed so that stopped the traffic. Thank you. Breakfast was the usual, just fine for free. Internet was terrible. I must have relogged in 30 times or more. The room was quite large and comfortable. A/C was very quiet and worked great. Staff was extremely nice and friendly. I would actually recommend this hotel. Now, this part is addressed to all hotel staff and management everywhere in the world. I've been a gold or platinum loyalty member for over 10 years. There are thousands of people that are loyal to your brand. Pay attention to your reservations. Don't put a loyal club member next to a door, the stairs, or the elevator unless they ask for it. Each one is noisy and you know it. Appreciate the people that keep coming back to your hotel over and over. It's easy money in your pocket. Ok, now that that's off my chest, on with vacation!

This is a real nice place to stay. The location is good. The price is good. The breakfast is ok, as it is that weird folded fake egg and sausage. Still I ate it. The only downside is that they gave me a room next to the elevator which means right next to housekeeping. I had do not disturb on my door, but they might as well have been in my room. If you stay here I would request to not be next to the elevator. Other than that it was a good place and would stay there again. Oh ya it is only 3 floors and the elevators are really slow. We were in Corpus Christi for a campus visit. This hotel is ideally located for Texas A&M CC. Large selection of items for the breakfast and a wonderful lady that works her tail off to take care of the guests. Unfortunately I did not get her name as a guest made a huge mess with the waffle batter and she was busy. Even though this hotel sits right on a a busy road the noise level is not an issue even for a light sleeper like me. We will be staying here again in the very near future. The common areas are really nice and clean. The room was very large and nicely decorated. The bathroom was poorly done cosmetically. They should be reimbursed by their tile installation company. There was little to no hot water. The water remained luke warm during our stay. We tried several times throughout our stay and it did not change. Overall good clean hotel. Micro/fridge in room is very convenient. The front desk charged my card three times and it still shows pending so I am waiting to see if they will release the funds. The hotel was in a pretty good location close to the beach (depending on which one about 10-30 minutes away by car. ) we went during spring break weekend and got a decent rate. Lobby is nice with a cool fish tank the kids loved. Rooms are pretty big and all have a fridge and microwave. Everything is clean. Negatives: for some reason the water in the shower never really got hot. At most it was lukewarm. The tv in the room was very small and in a strange spot. The bathroom was also in need of some minor repair. Some of the floor tiles were cracked. Plus you could tell the shower tiles were a bit dirty. Otherwise nice place. We would stay here again. Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

Great location, if you are wanting to get to the TAMUCC campus. We came for Island Day at the university and stayed here, since registration was 8am. It is right off the highway. It is VERY easy to drive right pass the entrance to the hotel. There is a Sunco gas station on the corner. Then boom, there's the entrance. The traffic can be rather busy at this intersection, when you realized you had to turn, you cant. You have to drive down a tiny ways, make a U-turn, then go back to the light to make another U-turn to pull into the entrance. As for the hotel, the lobby is beautiful. Nicely decorated. Check-in was a breeze. Our room was nice too. It was large enough to fit our entire family of 6 comfortably, but there were only 2 of us, so it felt like a castle. Hospitality seems to be the least of this company's concerns. I booked (and paid in full) this hotel nearly 2 months in advance for a normal weekend getaway. The pictures made the place look great, with spacious rooms and clean, up to date furnishings. I checked in on Friday evening and went up to the room to get settled in. As normal, I did a quick scan around the room, checking the cleanliness of the restroom and shower, making sure the AC worked, and lastly pulling back the bed linens, just to make sure there weren't any stains on the linens or stray hairs from previous guests (I've unfortunately checked into previous hotels and have found numerous hairs on the bedding and the restroom sink and dried urine stains on the toilet seats. Left that establishment immediately!). Anyways, when pulling back all of the comforters and the pillows, there lies a grungy black lace woman's bra, wedged between the attached wall headboard and the mattress. The males in my group of guests found this to be kind of on the funny side, but I stood there in disbelief. Sure, I've found things wrong with other hotels but have never found an article of clothing, let alone another woman's undergarments. You would imagine when stripping and making a bed, you would need to pull the mattress away from the headboard to make sure all sheets are on tight and comforters are tucked in where they should be. We called down to the front desk and the same lady who checked us in stood at the door, just in as shock as I was. One of the guys picked up the bra by the strap and traded it for a new set of sheets from the lady. She apologized and left us be. We remade the bed and tried to forget about the whole thing, but all night I literally slept in one position, weary to move and spread out and get comfortable; my mind just racing and coming up with all sorts of other things that may be left behind (unseen by the naked eye) in this room. The second night, I myself ended up laying out all of my beach towels and laying atop of those and covering myself with my own blanket. We checked out that Sunday morning and the original lady had obviously passed along the message to the other staff because this gentleman said that the manager would be calling me later that afternoon. Well Sunday comes to an end and no call. I call the hotel on Monday morning around 9am and was told the general manager only works Monday-Friday (it's 9:30am on a Monday, I consider that "Monday") and that I can expect a call later this morning. I then get a call from PJ-operations manager, and I simply explain to him what happened. At the end of our 8 minute conversation, I did not once get an apology of any kind, and was told that their housekeeper had been doing this for 7 years, a bra is a pretty large object to miss, he needs to get the housekeepers side of the story and reach out to the hotels General Manager to see IF he wants to move forward with this situation. Are you kidding me!? Yes, I randomly carry women's undergarments to plant in my hotels to scam whatever I can out of you. Ridiculous. I'll give it to the original lady who checked us in and gave us new sheets for at least apologizing and doing what she could in that moment. But as far as follow up from the "management" staff, what a joke. You made me feel as if this was all made up for fun and that I was telling a story. I would give this place a solid 4 out of 5, without this bra mishap. After my communication so far with management, it's getting 1 star. I've worked in retail/customer service for almost 7 years as a teenager/young adult and even I had more respect for complaining customers in those establishments, where you are only with a guest for a matter of minutes. Not looking for a handout because I definitely will not choose to stay at this hotel again, even if it is comped. Port A, you were awesome as always. The end.

Listing says hotel is near beach, you can see the water if you are on one particular side. Otherwise, clean with helpful staff and easy to get to other sites. Drug store across the street and restaurant and fast food nearby. Rooms were well kept and roomy. Our staff takes pride in making sure each guest leaves with a memorable and comfortable stay.

The lady who works the breakfast is so friendly and helpful. If at all possible get a 2 queen suite the rooms are huge. The pricing is reasonable. Every time we come to Corpus Christi we stay here I am never disappointed We take pride in making sure each guest leaves with a memorable and comfortable stay.

Stayed for three nights for a mini get away to Padre Island. It was very convenient to run to the beach or run toward town. Hotel smells good each time you enter. Room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. Towels were large and soft. Only negative thing, at night when TV is off, we could hear people - kids stomping and running above us. Breakfast was normal - powdered eggs, sausage, cereal, waffles. Staff was friendly. We were happy with our stay and would stay here again. Comfort Suites staff takes pride in making sure each guest leaves with a memorable and comfortable stay.

We didn't have any problems. Front desk was friendly. The housekeepers did a good job. Rooms were nice. We took our granddauhgghter for last trip before school started back. Really enjoyed our stay. They had a great breakfast and they kept it open until 10:00 am instead of 9:00 like most places. Our staff takes pride in making sure each guest has an enjoyable stay.

We stayed one night during the week at this hotel. The front desk staffer was very nice and helpful. They must have been renovating as it did smell a bit like glue-either for the carpet or wallpaper. The suite we stayed in was a larger one on the third floor. The bed and pillows were wonderful. The bathroom was a nice size for the 3 of us. There was a bit of mildew on one portion of the shower and the wall socket for the hair dryer needed to be replaced as someone had "blown" it. This wasn't an issue for us as we didn't need to use it. The breakfast was standard. My only complaint was there was no regular coffee when I arrived and I had to wait a bit for it to be refilled. The location is very convenient and we would stay here again. Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

My wife and I were guests in the Comfort suites......I have stayed in Comfort suites all over America for the last 24 years. This have to be one of the worse. The lunge suite and chairs smelt, it wouldn't have been cleaned in years. The carpet was so filthy our feet were black so were started wearing socks and our socks were black. There were bugs, cockroaches, sound like a horror story? Not quite.....lol I am a gold elite card holder and so they offered to shift me into another room for the two remaining nights which I refused......Why? The whole hotel was grubby, so I thought only two nights left, we will just tough it out......I have been traveling in America for the last 24 years and this hotel has to be up there as one of the worse... We apologize for your stay, we have retrained staff in making sure this does not happen again. Hope to see you soon.

We chose to stay here during a weekend trip to Corpus Christi. This place is situated right off of the SPID freeway in CC. It is very easy to get in and out of, and it is located just 15 minutes from the beach. It also is somewhat located just enough out of the way of Southside CC, that you don't have the traffic, yet you are still able to access all of CC's local attractions in a timely manner. The rooms are spacious and cozy; we had no issues with the quarters. While it was just a place to lay our heads, we had a good time staying here. Something I did notice was the hallway AC was out. They were using portable AC units on our floor, but that seemed to make no difference in the air. It was pretty muggy in the hallways. This did not affect our individual room AC; we stayed comfortable and cold the whole time. The breakfast was nice and hot in the mornings; however, my only complaint would be that it is over very early. Additionally, We tried to go to the pool, but as others have stated it was very hot out there with almost no shade or place to sit. The price was reasonable, as well. We reserved our room just two weeks in advance when most rooms were sold out. All in all, we would return to this hotel!

Check in was fast and friendly. Our room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The free breakfast buffet did not have much; however, there was waffle batter/ waffle maker available. I would recommend this hotel. Thank you for staying at comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

This hotel was good for the most part. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. The bathroom was tight and the vanity was in the bathroom which makes it difficult to get ready when you have a lot of people, which is usually why you rent a suite. So, I normally expect a suite to have a better bathroom set up. Not a deal breaker for us depending on the price but definitely something to be aware if when looking. The room and sofa area were very clean and everything was in good repair. The bathroom had a couple of issues. First, the carpet tacks in the transition from the room to the bathroom scratched my foot and had to be avoided to prevent more serious cuts. Second, there were some mold spots in the corners of the tub and around the faucet in the tub. Everything else…

Overall our stay went very well. Check in was easy, room was clean and cold when we arrived. The bed was so comfortable and the sheets super soft. Nice location close to A&M easy access to Ocean/Shorline Dr. We were in town to see 4th of July fireworks display as were many of the other guests. Even with a full house the rooms were fairly quiet no loud or rowdy guests, there was a little noise every now and then from SPID overpass but that is to be expected as the hotel is very close to the road. The pool is very small and got crowded quickly so that is something to keep in mind. I personally like my space when in a Hotel pool and that might be the only reason I would have to not stay here again. But if the pool doesn't interest you then it's not a big deal. Stayed for three nights. Clean room, quite during my stay. Breakfast was good. Close to A&M, which was convenient for early morning orientation for my daughter. The room was exceptionally clean and the beds were comfortable. The only problem we had was that the air condition went out during the night. I could not tell the front desk because my husband is on meds and he would not have been able to get up to change rooms. Upon checking out, I was just told that they would report it. Nothing was offered to help compensate for my being uncomfortable. I would have thought they'd at least offer us a coupon for a few dollars off of our next stay. The only other problem was that the halls had a peculiar odor. There were some type of vents on either side of the hallways pumping air in. The smell was there but it was not terrible. I will probably still go there again as it is conveniently located near the highway. our staff takes pride in making sure each guest leaves with a memorable and comfortable stay.

Proximity to TAMUCC is the best. Convenient to lots of activities, restaurants and the beaches. Walkability is quite good as well. Staff is helpful and consistent with there service. Pool is very nice and so is the fitness room. No "Guide" feature on remote so you have to surf channels like the ole days! Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Our staff strives to give the best customer service for every guest. See you soon.

This was our second stay at this hotel and I was overall pleased once again. We have been visiting Corpus Christi many times recently since our daughter will be attending TAMU-CC in the fall. We like the location of this hotel in reference to the college and the fact it's TAMU-CC oriented. Our first stay, in April 2016, was amazing with no complaints at all. Our second stay was May 2016, and the only complaints were the difficult time we had maintaining a comfortable tempurature in the room (it was too hot or too cold) and loose floor tile in the bathroom. I believe the room temp issue was due to the fact that this is Corpus Chrisit in early summer, so not the hotels fault. :) I feel the price is a little high but we will pay it for the location. We will be making… Our staff takes pride in making sure each guest leave with a memorable and comfortable stay.

The strong chemical smell of cleansing agents hit me in the face right when I walked in the door. It was the same in the room I stayed. Although, it seemed clean, the smell had me wondering. This in fact left me with a headache my whole stay and left my skin irritated and itchy. Thankfully, I only stayed one night. This morning, as I was fixing to leave, I noticed a small bug crawling on the bed. Don't expect too much from the breakfast either. The eggs were undercooked and didn't look like real eggs. Its a newer establishment and in a good area, so I expected a lot more. Needless to say, I will never return here and I would never recommend anyone stay here. Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns.

Have family in area, so for the price, it was exactly what we were looking for. The rooms were clean and the beds were extra comfortable. I slept like a log!!! The tile around tub needed a little work, but it was clean. The breakfast is good, considering it is 'free'. It's a step above a continental breakfast. Had pre-made egg and cheese omelet, fruit, juice, waffles, etc. I wasn't 100% sure how to rate because it's not 5 star accommodations, but I'd say in the $100 price range it's a 4! Thank you for staying at comfort Suites, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Hope to see you soon.

This was a clean , quiet property right off the highway. It is conveniently located near a CVS and a Whataburger. Interestingly enough our room was facing the front and we had little to no traffic noise. The breakfast buffet had a good variety and the size of the room was fair. We would stay again. Hotel was in a safe area with plenty of food options around, though if you were coming from the north, you have to go through the turnaround at the next exit and then come back as there is no opening on the median to turn left. Not too far from Padre Island. We were checked in by a very professional and helpful young guy. The lobby was very nice and had a neat fish tank. Lots of good breakfast options, including a Texas-shaped waffle, and a fairly spacious eating area. Our room smelled musty which I'm guessing is because it was on the first floor near the pool and probably easy to track water in if you don't dry off all the way; the smell was tolerable though. The hot tub was way too cool for November, so we didn't use it for very long. The room was otherwise very nice and… Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites Near Texas A&M, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. This is a very nice property and the only problem I have ever experienced here is checking in. The men were NEVER in a hurry to check you in. They thought goofing off while you waited was acceptable. Now they have more than made up for it with the girl who checked me in this time, (Precious) She is the sweetest front desk clerk from any property no matter what chain and I have stayed in more than 250 rooms/year for the last 20 years. Because of Precious. I'll be back more often! Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites Near Texas A&M, we appreciate your business and all our guest concerns. See you soon.

I gave it 1 star because I couldn't give it a zero. My room had water damage and the ceiling was sagging. I reserved a ground floor room 2 months in advance. They couldn't get this right so I had a 2nd floor room. The elevator was broken. I had a large amount of gear I had to carry up the stairs and all the way to the other end of the hallway. The breakfast was awful. The sausage was light gray in color, almost white. The only thing the hotel staff could say was "sorry" and shrugged their shoulders. I always stay at Comfort Suites but will never stay here and strongly recommend you do not either.

  • Jul 10, 2015 by Cynthia A.

I stayed in this place for four nights with my family. The room was clean and spacious plus it had an extra sofa bed. Staff was friendly and rapidly took care of anything we needed. The wifi was very weak and constantly had to reconnect to the network, because of that my children couldn't watch a movie on their tablet. Breakfast was ok but not impressive, there was sausage and bacon but those were a bit greasy for my taste. The person in charge of breakfast was super efficient and rapidly refilled and met everyone's needs. Overall our stay was good.

We needed a hotel for a wedding weekend. I found this hotel several months ago and went ahead and booked us. We arrived to a nice room, cool, downstairs, quiet. CC was under a water restriction due to an ecoli outbreak, so we had to buy bottles of water for all consumption including brushing our teeth. The in-room fridge was very handy. However, it wasn't working, we reported it and presto…working fridge within a couple of hours. We arrived on the very day of the evening wedding, so we were gone for sometime. The breakfast is good, eggs, make your own waffle station, juices, coffee, fruit, yogurt, cereals, etc. We then noticed the door handle to our room was loose, reported it…presto, fixed. The bed was comfortable, maybe a little high off the floor for my 5'4" height,… Thank you for staying at Comfort Suites Near Texas A&M University, we appreciate your business and guest concerns. Stayed here during the state FFA convention, so many hotels were sold out. There's tons of mold growing on the ceiling in the bathroom. It had been painted over. I had gone to Corpus Cristi and Port Aransas for Memorial day weekend. We stayed here because we couldn't find any hotels available in Port Aransas. I was surprised how clean this place was. Staff was friendly. Rooms bigger, clean sheets, quiet. Breakfast was good. Its very close to mustang island and Aransas pass. I would certainly stay here again if I am in the area. Room was excellent, no problems at all with it. One of the days there the maid only left towels on the bathroom counter and didn't empty the trash. Other maid that came in was excellent! Staying here was nothing less than wonderful: the room was more than we expected, the staff were friendly and quite helpful. When we arrived the receptionist, Robby, greeted us with enthusiasm, and helped select a restaurant for weary travelers not too far away. Nice place to stay. Room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was the usual. Very close to TAUMCC so a nice plus. The only negative would be the walls are thin. The person in the room next to us had the volume on the TV so loud by 2am I had to call down to the front desk. Then you could hear the phone ringing. It was taken care of very promptly. Great lobby and the fish tank is a nice touch. This is a very clean and quiet hotel on the south side of Corpus. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. In planning my trip to Corpus, I looked at a lot of hotels and read the reviews here. Reviews for moderate price hotels were all over the chart. I had family I was visiting on the island and wanted to stay somewhat close, but away from the beach and all the sand. I decided to give the Comfort Suites near A&M a chance. I was warmly greeted when I arrived (I think his name was Robert) and was given a first floor room. I was also given a nice arrival gift of some snacks and discount coupons for area restaurants. I checked out my room first before bringing in my luggage, just in case. I was very happy with the room and when bring in my luggage I told Robert that I was happy with the room. My room was cozy and must have been recently updated. The carpet looked new, no… Thank you for being our guest at the Comfort Suites Near Texas A&M, we appreciate all guest feedback. We've stayed here a couple of times and liked the property. However, the second time we stayed (about a year after the first stay), we noticed the hotel wasn't as clean as previous. This applies to the lobby and the rooms. The hotel is a newer property so the amenities are more modern. The pool and Jacuzzi are extremely small, so when there are 3 or more people in the pool, it's difficult to enjoy. The beds are comfortable and rooms well laid out for a family of four like us. There is a desk and good Internet access. The service desk has had a few issues that could be worked on. We asked for and received a late checkout while checking in, only to be rudely awoken up by a phone call telling us we were late to checkout and needed to leave. Got a $125 rate to attend a meeting which is $80 less than usual. Rooms were large well furnished and clean. Beds and bathrooms were clean. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was just fine and served early on weekdays. Ice machine worked fine on both first and second floors. Staff made real effort to help me find my lost hat. Location was very near the highway to the beach or the road to hans suter wildlife refuge/oso bay. A ways from texas a&m but closer than most other hotels i guess. Negatives. Room 208 had air conditioning that couldnt be turned off so i was quitecold and ended up covering the air conditioner with blankets. Parking lot was very tight although i found a space, and one part of the lot was right on the highway and shielded by bushes which looked insecure to me.… Thank you for being our guest at the Comfort Suites Near Texas A&M, we appreciate your business. I recently stayed here, the first floor area had a weird smell couldn't figure out what it was. One of the towels in the restroom was obviousy dirty, I only used it to step on when i got out of the shower which had a used bar of soap with hair on it. There's no telling what else in the room was dirlty. Also the bed was hard and uncomfortable. I would say book a room here as last result.

This hotel was horrible. We got to the hotel and the front desk person was very helpful. He got us checked in, we got to the room and had noticed the that the room had bugs all in the bathroom and there was mold growing all over the shower the 2nd day I was taking a quick shower and the soap dish fell on my foot, I had a bruise and everything. We went down to the front desk he told us he could not do anything to fix it our move us. I will not ever stay at a comfort again. It will b back to hilton, don't have issues like this with them. This is my third stay here while visiting CC relatives and have found the hotel to be very nice and well maintained on each occasion. The rooms are very clean, housekeeping is attentive in replenishing items used from room and the front desk staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed here a few times when it started up a few years back and really liked it. We started staying in N Padre and the central location for the past few years. We stayed here last weekend and what a great stay! Great staff and clean rooms. A lot of workers staying there but it wasn't a problem. Also, it wasn't peak season so it wasn't too packed. We original had reservations at Laquita. Laquinta over booked their rooms so when we went to check in(arriving late at night), there were no rooms available. Laquinta did a room transfer and got us a room at Comfort suites. We were tired and frustrated. When we arrived at comfort suites, Robby was so compassionate. He has great customer services skills. He went above and beyond, getting the information from Laquinta on the Transfer. He told us to go rest that he would handle it...and He did! House keeping was great too! Very clean and nice hotel. Worst hotel I have ever experienced. Overbooked, no one at the desk for 20 to check us in , had to call the manager. Sofa bed had no bedding, springs were broken. Filthy. If it hadn't been so late we would have tried to stay somewhere else. There were people in the elevator complaining that their room was dirty bad bad bad!

My husband and I stayed for two nights in a king room. First thing you see when you walk in is a beautiful fish tank. Walking to our room we noticed how nice & clean everything looked. When we walked into our room we were so happy to see that just like the rest of the hotel it was spotless. The bathroom was very clean, too. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The room had a microwave, mini fridge, sofa w/sleeper and flat screen TV. I loved that the bedside lamps had outlets and there was a chargeport for our phones on the desk. Breakfast was great and was kept stocked and clean by a very nice woman. Even though right by the highway there was no issue with noise. We will definitely be back! You pretty much get what you pay for. The room was clean and spacious. The bed wasn't quite soft enough for my liking so I tossed and turned quite a bit throughout the night. The towels were a bit rough. The water pressure in the shower was actually really great! The wifi had a decent signal. The hot breakfast was actually quite good. I'm neither impressed nor dissatisfied with this place. Like I said, you get what you pay for. Overall, It's not that bad!

We made a quick trip from Northwest Ar to Corpus Cristi for a funeral. We stayed one night on Oct. 18, 2013. We got very little sleep because of the guy next door banging and yelling till 3AM. There was a lot of outside traffic noise as well and only one tv in a suite which I am not used to. To watch tv you had to sit on the bed or sit in the "living area" and cock your head sideways. It was clean and breakfast was ok, but we will not stay at another Comfort Suites due to this experience. Thank you for taking the time to complete tripadvisor survey regarding your recent stay at our hotel. On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for failing to exceed your expectations. The hotel is located in a quiet corner off one of the main highways. The only thing in walking distance is a convient store, but with a car it is 10 minutes away from either downtown corpus or the island beach depending on which direction you go. The mall, movies, and all popular chain restaurants are just two exits away back on the highway. We stayed at the hotel for one night for a quick getaway with our 4 year old daughter. We original were planning on staying at a Quality Inn on the bay close to the Lexington musuem and aquarium but changed our minds when we saw the reviews. Seemed nothing had been updated since we last stayed there 10 years ago. Glad we changed reservation to this location, for the same price we reserved a suite with a king sized bed and small living… Thank you for taking the time to complete tripadvisor online survey regarding your recent stay at our hotel. Hotel is tucked behind a gas station and kinda hard to spot. But that's a plus because it's quiet. Little to no noise from the highway. The grounds are well manicured. Lobby is modern. The check-in process was quick and the employee behind the counter was friendly and courteous. The king bed suite was spacious with a microwave and fridge, pull out sofa bed and large flat screen TV. Furnishings and bedding looked clean, new, and smelled fresh. Bed had both firm and soft pillows to choose from. Internet access was either hard wire or WiFi. WiFi signal was strong and fast on the third floor. Breakfast area is spacious with plenty of tables. Overall a pleasant stay. I would stay there again. The the rooms are very clean, and you are very close to the water. The service was ok but didn't really think much of it. The breakfast in the morning was horrible!!! It's a first come first sever type breakfast and Everyman for themselves, not good for the little ones thou. But overall not to bad. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. Considering it includes wireless internet and breakfast, the price if very affordable. The property is extremely clean and staff very courteous. The room was clean and spacious. I would add that the air conditioned, for a reason that we ignore, stopped working in the middle of the night, raising the room temperature to a point it would disturb your sleep. We had to bring it down every night to cool down the room temperature again. The hotel location was not too bad but do not expect a walkable distance to the action, etc. as it is located in a Bay, surrounded by apartment buildings and the highway. Everything is accessible using your car, with a 10-20 minutes drive to downtown Corpus Christi (restaurants, shopping, ocean, attractions). If I could describe my stay in one word it would be.....home. We came to Corpus Christi for a small 4th of July vacation and chose to stay at Comfort Suites. I was absolutely pleased with our stay here. Friendly staff, comfortable clean rooms, tasty free breakfast, and great convenient location. The restrooms were very clean and spacious, as were the rooms. The beds were SO comfortable! I slept so good here and I felt so relaxed and rested. I believe you definitely get your moneys worth here. I noticed the rooms fill up quick here, and now I see why. I recommend this hotel if you plan on coming to Corpus with your family or alone. I will be coming back very soon. Thank you for taking the time to complete tripadvisor online survey regarding your recent stay at our hotel. Great stay! Friendly staff. From the front desk attendant to housekeeping, everyone was so nice. Our room was super clean and up to date. Breakfast was delish and an added bonus. The pool was clean and the kids had fun. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for staying at Comfort Suites Near Texas A&m, we appreciate your business!

Checked in to our king size room at 8pm to find the room had not been cleaned. Reported to desk who said housecleaning had marked it cleaned. Then had to go check (to make sure I wasn't making it up??). Returned but informed us no more king size we'd have to take queen. Had noticed people grilling just outside side door. 2nd floor alway was full of smoke from someone's dinner. Really? Decided to stay in Corpus after a concert so this was an unplanned stay and not convenient to the venue (Concrete) but we were pleased nonetheless with everything else about our stay. The room was very spacious and the bed was wonderful. Shower had decent pressure. Toilet was a little wobbly, but it was clean! Breakfast was great: bacon, eggs, waffles, plus much more! If you are planning to stay for more than one night, look no further as the hotel is also just 2 exits down from the newly updated mall (La Palmera) and near a movie theatre (Century) and plenty of restaurants. Also, only a 20 minute drive to North Padre beach. Would definitely stay again. Thank you for taking the time to complete tripadvisor online survey regarding your recent stay at our hotel. This is a new hotel that has comfortable beds, a good shower, and clean rooms. The front desk was friendly at check-in and the location is in a good area. Hotel room was dirty. Staff yelling up and down the halls every morning at 6:20 am. Bed wasn't comfortable. Parking is terrible. The only good thing I have to say about the hotel is " nice shower" there's a motel 6 down the street, stay there!

The Best Hotel i have stayed in Corpus. I'm not a fancy person so i don't need all that extra crap other people need. It was just me and my wife and the staff couldn't have been nicer. In a tourist/beach town like Corpus, it's easy to pay too much for too little when it comes to hotels, bit this property was a pleasant surprise? It was actually closer to the water than expected, the rooms were nicely appointed, the staff was friendly, and there were plenty of dining and shopping options close by. The breakfast and parking are free, too, which made up for a few minor housekeeping issues and a small-but-clean outdoor pool. We will gladly stay at this location again! I had booked a room with another hotel that wasn't good ("Quality Inn on surfside blvd). When we arrived at Comfort Suites, I had been looking for an hour for an open vacancy but there was a convention in town and all the hotels were booked, the Front staff was really nice, there was one room left and I took it. Great staff and clean and nice. Thank you for taking the time to complete tripadvisor online survey regarding your recent stay at our hotel. Here is my review guide of hotel ratings, Keep in mind I stay in different hotels 3-5 times a week so Ive had my fair share of crap places to the extravagant. *Front desk/Check in- the front desk check in was pleasant enough. I was able to get in fairly quickly. Service was nice. *Room Cleanliness- The carpet is clean enough to walk on, the linens are fresh and clean. Bathroom towels are fluffy and clean. *Room Overall- The Room overall was super clean! the floors are clean enough to walk on which is rare for most hotels. I know I know, the oddest things pleases me. The only thing that I was bummed about was this hotel doesnt offer hot tub suites as most other Comfort Suites do. After a long shift at work, I generally want to soak in the tub a bit. *Checking out- The check out was easy, simple, and same as most other comfort suites. I didnt have housekeeping come banging at my door in the morning so they get an extra star for that :D

We checked in late and the evening manager helped us quickly change rooms the next day. Our initial room stunk of old wine that was permeating all our clothes as well as those of our visiting guests. The "free breakfast" is OK if you don’t mind it being raided by hotel staff while enduring cold coffee. Upon our checkout there was absolutely no remorse or apology from the hotel manager wearing a blue shirt and pink glasses. There are plenty of options in this area and this hotel is not the perfect fit for everyone. I stayed here with my mom and sister since it is so close to where my niece lives. The first room had a leaking window (during high wind/rain) and the air conditioners below us were very loud. We called management and they had us in a new room within 10 minutes. The second room had a view of the front drive/gas station - we weren't there for the 'view' so it really didn't matter to us what we were looking at. I agree with some of the other reviews that you can hear other guests if they are in the room next too you. We were lucky that our 'neighbors' were quiet. The breakfast was typical for a hotel breakfast bar but the eggs/sausage and bacon were always hot. The lobby/breakfast area was always clean. There are a lot of utility/construction workers staying here tracking… Thank you for taking the time to complete tripadvisor online survey regarding your recent stay at our hotel. This hotel is relatively new and appears to still be in relatively good condition. The room I was assigned to was clean but considerable cosmetic damages were noticed. Upon check out the representative at the front desk was unable to access the computer to finalize check out and present a receipt. Reported to be a password issue. Manager had to be called from off site to reset password and allow the desk clerk access. Guest / customer was delayed... Front desk staff is very very unorganized and appear to possess no customer service qualities. This property appears to be poorly managed. It would be in Choice Hotel International's best interest to monitor the operations and management of this property. Mom, dad, and 2 teenage boys on a budget going to the beach. My husband been out of work for over 1.5 he just started back working in April and we needed a vacation but something to not break the bank. The boys wanted to go to the beach so we choose north parde island not to far out and white sand (so they said)..my husband booked this hotel comfort suites with one king and a sofa bed. To our surprise the room was just perfect for us. I hate going to a hotel and the tv is out dated. This hotel had a flat screen tv! The bathroom was huge and for the first time had plenty of towels! I took pics of the rooms, they look a mess the boys were still sleep while i wrote this review..lol...The only bad thing i would say is the pool was small and not pool attracted...lol...but who goes to…

The best things about the stay were cheerful, helpful staff and very comfortable rooms. From the time we arrived until we checked out, I felt like we were welcome and important to the staff.

We called ahead & were told that we'd have a room by the bay. There are no rooms by the bay! In our room, we heard a horrific sound! It was a faulty air conditioner. We were moved to another room. We were rewarded with a few of the gas station! Our phone didn't work and the TV was old and had lines through it. We complained to the staff & were told there was no manager despite the fact we were there 3 days. We asked the manager to call us when we left, as we felt we did not get value for our money. Of course, there was no call. The rooms were ugly and smelled bad. Not a decent place to stay, especially for almost $100 a night!

I stayed four nights here and was really disappointed. All the hall carpets were dirty with black marks everywhere . the room carpet was the same, the edges of the hall were never vacuumed. My room was not made up or the bathroom cleaned one day. It was not dusted. In the breakfast room the garbage was not removed to the point that you could not put another dish in it. The coffee was not replenished when the container was empty. The pool has a door latch that if you are 5ft or under you cannot open the gate. This is extremely dangerous in an emergency. There were no pool towels in the bins. Someone called me three evenings in a row and on transfer got a busy signal. The fourth time they spoke to the receptionist who just said "oh the phone's not working call back and I will…

Previously we stayed at the La Quinta and this was definately better than that hotel. Pool wasn't very clean and we had the same problem as other reviewers with the heat/cold kicking on and off all night long. Also the same problem with the sofa bed spring so we had to put our lightest child on the bed. Breakfast area was overflowing in the morning so if you come at prime time you won't be able to sit down. Location was great though and price was great!

We booked a four night stay here due to it being rated #3 on trip advisor. What a mistake that was! Upon check-in we were put in a room next to a puppy that never stopped barking. The walls were so thin that we could hear talking from the other neighboring room. We called that night to complain about the barking and asked to be moved. We were told that the hotel was full and they can move us in the morning as there were some check outs. Throughout the night we had to wake up every hour on the hour to adjust the thermostat. The A/C unit was not able to hold the consistent temperature. Our kids slept on the sofa bed. Our son, weighs barely 35 pounds, woke up complaining that his back hurt because he felt the spring poking him. In the morning we had brought up these concern to…

We've stayed at this hotel a few times on our visits to the beach. In comparison to the closeby Motel 6, it's leagues better. It's also better than similar hotels like La Quinta, Red Roof, etc. The bed is super comfy. Generally, it's quiet. And it appears very clean. We like that it's one of the closest hotels to Padre Island without being on the island (and paying island prices). It's close enough to many restaurants (about a 5 minute drive). It's also easy to book online and change reservations. I don't like the breakfast food, cos the quality is fairly low. Usually we skip the breakfast and grab something at Taco Cabana or Andy's Kitchen.

  • Sep 01, 2010 by Kim L

The room was quiet (in spite of our 2 children), the beds were really comfy - especially the super soft pillows - and the breakfast food selection was nice. The only things that detracted from the experience was that the TV in the breakfast area was unavoidable. There was no where to sit so that you couldn't see or hear the TV. Nothing bothers me more than having to explain CNN news to my 8-yr-old and 4-yr-old, especially while we're eating! That could have been more kid-friendly! The staff were particularly helpful and courteous, especially Gracie (at the front desk), who had a smile on her face every time we saw her.

Everyone in our group liked this hotel a lot. The hotel was at or near capacity but the service was speedy & friendly nonetheless. Everyone enjoyed the hot breakfast, the clean rooms & the friendly staff. In the midst of it all our event got canceled due to an incoming tropical storm and the management worked with everyone to ensure their departure & bills were all in order prior to leaving. I highly recommend this hotel if you need any sort of group event, their Sales Coordinator, Cyndi, was excellent to work with. She kept me updated and went above & beyond in ensuring our group would be happy.

My husband, grandson & I were in town to visit our son who is attending Texas A&M Corpus Christi. The hotel is right off of the highway and just down the street from the University. Comfort Suites had a hot breakfast each morning which included eggs, sausage or bacon and belgian waffles. They also had muffins, cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast etc. It has a nice big sidewalk that goes all the way to the ocean if you jog, bike or run. They had a nice area with a pool and hot tub and also have a small work out area with a few machines. All the employees took time to talk to my grandson and were very helpful. The hotel seems very new and everything was clean and well kept. We had plenty of towels and the walls seemed thick enough that we didn't hear our neighbors. It is 3 story…

We left our previous hotel a night early and what a great surprise this one was! We stayed here and got MUCH MORE "bang for the buck" -same price as our previous one. The rooms are adaquately large enough so three people did not "trip" over each other. Plush beds, very clean, plenty of TV channels to "surf". The breakfast was more than ample-please don't change it. We really loved that we could visit the local grocer and use the micro/fridge to have quick meals. The pool was very near our room, but, not so that it was noisy. Great access to the beach for the price, only about 15-20 minutes from Malaquite Beach. I plan to stay here again next month and will book here again in the future. I would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel!

This is a new Comfort Suites located south of the city towards Padre Island. If you are looking to stay close to the Island, this is the hotel for you. We visited over Thanksgiving week and the hotel was relatively empty, except for the morning after Thanksgiving day, when a lot of families were visiting. The property is very clean and the staff is very friendly (the woman at the front desk is an absolute hoot and her daughter's restaurant is a great place off the beaten path - Laguna Reef). The breakfast is typical Comfort suites fare - eggs, Texas-shaped waffles, fruit, yogurt, and pastry. The only drawback to this hotel is that it is not conveniently located to downtown, so if your main purpose is to visit the Lexington, Aquarium, etc., you may wanted to stay closer in. It is…

This Comfort Suites is a brand new hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We were there for a soccer tournament and the location was perfect for us. We were about 10 minutes from the fields. South Padre Island Drive is one of the main roads in Corpus Christi with all of the restaurants and gas stations and shopping centers. This hotel as at the end of the line of all of those locations, however the entrance to the highway was just 100 yrds away so getting to everything was very quick. We did not go to the beach so I am just guessing it is about 10-15min from the hotel. We had the 2 queen beds and a pullout sofa. The room was very spacious. There is a small room divider between the beds and sofa. The room has a refridgerator, coffee maker and microwave. There was…
