Door handle to the bathroom was missing, items I left in my room are missing, guy at front desk was sleeping, no bacon for breakfast, milk was spoiled, trash was not thrown, and towels were missing too.

Clean and Quiet hotel with solid breakfast. Location was couple minutes away from the Spurs arena so convenient. We have stayed in the past and they usually have our rooms together so that was helpful. Otherwise solid place.

This hotel only has one luggage cart for the entire hotel! That is ridiculous for a hotel the size. We have mentioned it repeatedly to the staff, but they always say it is the owners decision. Apparently, the owner doesn’t care very much.

the rooms are nice , there's a lot of restaurants within walking distance and the staff (jay) make you feel right at home. also the overall price of the room is well worth it. very clean!! and the breakfast is also very good

Do not recommend at all. Had to change rooms due to smoke alarm needing battery replaced. Kept beeping. Breakfast non existent. Had to go whataburger for breakfast next door. Front desk attendant snoring at desk, had to wake up to get checked out.

Visiting after Spring Break and the young lady at the desk was very helpful with directions. Room was good and had everything I needed for my meeting. It was quiet so we appreciated no kids running around the place. Overall had a pleasant stay and will return next time.

I had a wonderful stay here. The front desk was friendly and helped provide nearby dinner suggestions. The room was clean, with comfy pillows and good toiletries. Lots of tv channel options, which is more than I typically see at hotels. The breakfast selection of hot and cold items was a treat as well. I will be coming back to this hotel in the future.

Best western needs to close this hotel until they remodel it. It is deficient in so many ways. No smoke detector in our room, even had the exposed smoke doctor wires hanging from the ceiling. Piece was broken off inside the refrigerator and black mold visible where it was broken off of. The safety bar on the door (which you bend back over the door to keep it from opening) was broken off. So there was no safety lock on the door. There was only an old blanket on the bed, no comforter. The maid had put the blanket down first and then the sheet on the bed. No way I was sleeping with that rough blanket touching my body. Cigarette burn hole in that same blanket.

The hotel is clean and well kept and the staff are genuinely kind and helpful people. Our room was super clean and roomy. It was quiet and we all slept great. Breakfast was good. This was a great place to stay.

Nice clean rooms and very friendly staff. I love the fact there are so many restaurants in the vicinity. The staff provided excellent customer service. I can't speak highly enough about the front desk staff.

Check in was slow. I called around 12 to see if checking in earlier than 3 would be possible and was told to call back in 1 1/2 hours. We arrived at 2 and asked if we could check in. We were told to wait a minute by a man, while he checked. We sat for about 15-20 minutes while the lady and man at customer service desk discussed personal issues. I finally got up and asked did he have an answer and was then told “she will help you check in” while he was leaving. Just not very professional. Pool was locked and when we asked they said a chemical had been put in the water the night before and it would be unavailable for 24 hours. When I told them the door had been locked for for a couple of days, I was told that I should have said something sooner. When I came back downstairs, the housekeeper was unlocking the door. I asked her are we able to use it and she said yes and that the guy at the front desk called someone and apparently no chemical was ever put in the pool the night before as I had been told. If I had not inquired the second time, I doubt I would have known. We did swim briefly. Pool area not kept up and bathroom located by pool was out of order. Staff at desk not very professional or courteous. Housekeeping ladies were very nice and helpful.

Numerous issues indicating the lack of maintenance. The security latch on the door was missing. The shower head was tied to the pipe. The bedding was warn and tatty. None of the exterior access doors work. Paint is peeling off the walls.

Everything was ok with exception of a green pool water and walls , stairs had green stuff making it u healthy and unsafe people could slip and fall and this hotel emphasizes about cleaninless not sure who dropped the. All and didn’t have Maintenance do it good day before since they said it was done or should have kept it close to avoid problems

The hotel was clean but the trash outside by the entrance need to be pulled. They can improve on the breakfast they have one waffle maker. They didn’t offer bagels nor fresh fruits. The orange juice looked like water. Other than that the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

I have now stayed at 5 BW hotels in the San Antonio area over the past few months. The Hill Country BW+ and Medical Center BW+ are the best locations. Others are ok. The staff has been good in all the 5 properties and I did not have any issues. But some locations are better than others and that is usually reflected in the price.

The mattress, lighting, lack of USB ports and breakfast were just either non existent or just poor at the very least. I would highly recommend not staying at this location. Laundry room did not have any detergent to purchase. Mattress sunk in the middle. The room smelt old and was dark.

I was in town for a funeral and only stayed for one night, but it was quickly apparent the hotel is mostly used by out of town contract workers. As a lone female I was not very comfortable. The room appeared clean, however smelled musty, the a/c unit was noisy, and it was very poorly lit. The hallways were rather dim as well. Parking was terrible, some of the contractors were double parking their large work vehicles instead of being polite and parking in the back of the lot where spaces are obviously set up for them to do so. Staff at the front desk were very nice though.

Staff is very friendly and kind. Wendy is an excellent receptionist and finds me the best room available. Housekeeping staff is kind as well. Especially Maria who made some more eggs for me for breakfast when they ran out. The pancakes are delicious. Aman is always friendly. I've really enjoyed staying here. Have returned several times.

I was looking for an inexpensive hotel located within walking distance of a restaurant. This location fit the bill being near a Cracker Barrel and other fast food locations, as well as a few gas station stores. Close enough to downtown San Antonio without paying the price of downtown San Antonio. Only 10 miles away from downtown. Room was very clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable too. Staff was nice. Mentioned that the hair dryer in our room had burned out, and it was replaced later that day. Hotel is on a very busy road but never heard any traffic. Nice breakfast offering in the morning ( make your own waffles). We spent two nights at this hotel. It was very clean. Staff was very cordial & smiling. Cory who was working the front desk was a very helpful when we asked about transportation. He suggested Uber rather than a taxi because it would be less expensive. He even told me how to get the app on my phone. The location was the perfect distance from downtown SAN Antonio. It was quiet. We had to change rooms initially as we found someone's dirty underwear hanging on the bathroom door. Our second room was better.... cleaner. I DID see some questionable stains on the wall by one of the beds... but everything else was OK. The staff was friendly and gave us everything we needed. The mattresses on the bed were thin, soft and springy. Two people on the bed, one moves... the other will feel it. The breakfast was listed as a Continental breakfast, but wound up being scrambled eggs, and two kinds of sausage, biscuits and gravy (or something pretending to be gravy). I don't expect a whole lot on free breakfasts no matter where I stay, but a little more effort could have been put into this one. The BW Winsor Pointe Hotel had excellent amenities, including and excellent and extensive breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very helpful and always smiling. Good location close to the Fort Hood complex. However, because of the busy intersection nearby, it was rather difficult to get there in rush hour traffic. I'd say if your looking to save a few bucks then stay here. The room I had (108) was a handicap room and it smelled musty. Shower head only reached my nose and I'm 5'8" but you can take it off the stand and hold it. Room was ok but getting that worn out look. I stayed here for a week and noticed the same thing. The hotel in a pretty decent one. The beds are comfy and rooms where clean. That being said. The front desk staff need to step up their game. They didn't go out of their way to greet you as you walked by the desk. Caught one guy on the late afternoon shift snoozing. On my final day, the breakfast area was depleted. I sat and watched for close to 20 min. It took a customer to notify the front desk ( which had two guys working) that most of the idems were empty. Even then, it apparently took both of them to start replenishing the breakfast ideas. In that time, I watch a customer wait at the desk ringing the bell wanting to check out. Step it up guys! A good comfortable accommodation as this was a last minute reservation. We called just by chance there was availability while looking for a place to spend the night. We walked the sites in the morning and found the hotel to be very clean and well kept. The "HOT breakfast" was an added touch. The waffle's, sausage, eggs, biscuit w/gravy was exceptional. The staff we came in contact with was very nice and courteous. Most important, it was the staff that convinced us of the quality this hotel offered. Value for 2 nights was excellent. Every thing was about average for a hotel stay. The queen size bed mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. The water pressure when taking a shower was very, very slow. The carpet smelled which gave the room a bad odor and the carpet was damp & wet. Read more

1) Let me begin with overall review of hotel. Pros: it's well maintained, clean, well lit, interior entrance, safe and easy access of hwy. Cons: parking is scarce, breakfast is hit or miss and waffle maker barely works, employees NEVER answer the phone and barely acknowledge your existence when they're not looking at their screens, prices are extremely volatile and range from $70-$300, which is crazy, depending on the event nearby. 2) Now, for my personal experience in having fishy extra charges attempted at being charged to my card. Didn't actually get to stay at this hotel because of the floods but were very very impressed with John the Manager who allowed us to cancel our reservation without penalty even though we had missed the deadline. Thank You John ! We just didn't want to be stuck in that part of the country because of nature doing it's thing. Room was clean and roomy, quiet; bed was comfortable. I am always suspicious of cleanliness in hotels, but all was good. My usual bug inspection was OK too....no bugs!! The hotel is a little older, but the decor was very nice, felt safe here and the price was great for a week's stay. Within walking distance of a bunch of fast food places, and Cracker Barrel. My company usually has at least some rooms booked at this property every night of the year. Over the last couple of years, I guess I would have had at least 20 stays per year at this property. There are times of course where you may have the minor inconveniences or maintenance issues that come up within that many stays. But, the service has always been very good, all of the time. I selected this hotel based on the reviews of previous guests. Unfortunately my stay fell short of the expectations I had. The TV remote didn't work and it took several calls and visits to the room to get it fixed. There were towels from the previous guest left in the bathroom. But the thing that really made this a bad stay was when I came down for breakfast the next morning at 8:40 all the hot items trays were empty. I had never stayed at this location before, but I can say that I would most definitely stay there again if i'm ever back in San Antonio. Everything from check in to check out was great. Breakfast was very good and I really liked my room. My flight got in very late and I felt very comfortable when I arrived at the hotel at 2 am. I'd recommend to anybody to go on and stay there. Staying for pleasure. Good location for me, needed to go downtown and to north San Antonio. Easily done from this location. Several restaurants with-in walking distance. Room was very nice. Clean, roomy. liked having the desk, frig and microwave. Bathroom was clean, tub was nice as I soaked each evening after long days of walking! Bed was very comfy. Since it's right off the highway, I was concerned about noise...needlessly! No problem getting good night's sleep. Didn't even hear the traffic. Breakfast offered a very good selection. Clean, comfortable room with a really good continental breakfast with a "do-it-yourself" waffle maker! Fun! Front desk person that checked us in was extremely friendly and very helpful. Made us feel very welcomed. Had to ask for a blanket since there seemed to be only sheets on the bed with one very thin coverlet but the gentleman at the front took care of us. Hotel ended up being in a questionable area of town but I never really felt unsafe. Overall a great stay. Would definitely go back if we're in San Antonio on a budget again. Read more

The rest was decent since it was quiet. The mattress wasn't particularly comfortable, but not as bad as some. The TV system is better than most with bigger TV and multiple premium channels. I am a veteran Best Western member and been to all types of Best Westerns so take this review to heart. It has super small breakfast area, a single, super duper, ultra slow elevator and waaaaaaay over priced rooms. We paid $175 for a suite room worth maybe $99 at the most. We foud it funny that the bathroom latch to close the door is installed backwards. No way to lock the bathroom. Really? Also the pool is outside unlike most modern hotels so no pool use for the kiddos. Disappointing to say the least. Im watching the breakfast area now and its packed to the hilt with guests and only 4 little tables for everyone. We wont be back here. Find a different place to stay. Well I was out of hours and it was 4:30pm. Going Home traffic was out in FULL FORCE, so I spotted a couple of hotel signs off of the Rittiman Rd exit. I was in a BIG RIG this time so parking was a factor. The Best Western had a side street that allowed me to keep my rig close by. The Comfort Suites at the other end would've worked too but I was hoping for an indoor pool. So I chose the Best Western by it's looks. We stayed here for 7 nights while on vacation we booked through trip advisor. Great price at only $72 a night. Clean hotel. Saved a lot of money by eating breakfast here. They had eggs sausage biscuits waffles cereal pastries yogurt milk juice and coffee. Someone was always there cleaning and filling things up. Close to lots if main attractions. The room was of good size with a comfortable bed, pillows (although for some reason they turn the pillows in on themselves making them appear smaller), and a comfortable couch. Had full cable including on demand and several HBO channels. The sink was outside the bathroom which I find weird but oh well. The desk chair was broken, would not go up and stay up, so we didn't use it. The room was very quiet despite being close to the interstate. The front desk people were nice and helpful. The problem I had with this hotel was, it was very smoker on the room floors for me to have a non-smoker room, it has one elevator with only one way to enter the building. The parking sucks because of how it's designed which makes it a little scary if you have to park in the back of the building due to limited spaces by the entry way. There was hair left on my pillow case and stained towels. Therefore, I went to Walmart to buy towels. The breakfast was ok. Did not use the pool because it did not seem clean, my kid even commented on how nasty it appeared and it's located right in front of a busy street when entering the hotel. Never again! Read more

Stayed 7 May through 18 May, 2015. My significant other's son in the Army was severely injured in Korea on 2 May and medivaced to Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio on 4 May. We found this Best Western on line and it was only 1.5 miles from the BAMC hospital, so we chose it. BAMCI is sort of on the east or SE side of the San Antonio beltway. As fate would have it, son was transferred to the UTexas Medical Center / Audie Murphy VA hospital Spinal Cord Injury Center on 7 May while we were in the air from Seattle. We did not like the location as it was in the Industrial area of the city and that was not indicated on the hotel information. Unless you were familiar with San Antonio you would have no reason to think that the hotel would be located here. It is not close to any of the attractions of San Antonio, e.g. River Walk, Alamo, AT&T Centre, etc., and no shuttle service is provided. We stayed one night midweek for a Spurs game. It worked out fine. I don't think the hotel has been updated in awhile. Interiors seemed sort of tired. But it was clean, and well-maintained, and nothing was overtly wrong. Lights in the room were annoyingly dim. I think hotels have been slowly backing off of bulb wattage in recent years, and I'd say this place has gone a bit too far. Still, it's not like we were in the dark. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Easy off the highway and you couldn't hear the road noise even though you were close to the interstate. The room was really nice and clean. Close to stores and gas and restaurants. The reason for the Very Good is because of the cold weather not allowing the water to get hot. But I would still stay there again. Read more

This hotel was located very close to a busy street and as such had fences around it, but we were very pleased with the outside and inside appearance. Our room was clean, the staff was friendly. I thought they were a little understaffed at breakfast with only one employee working the front desk and stocking breakfast, and I had to ask for a few things. But we were overall pleased with our stay and thought it was a good value. I needed to go to a medical appointment at Ft. Sam Houston, and it only took us 5 minutes to get to Brook Army Medical Center, so location was fabulous. Read more

I was searching for a last minute hotel nearby the Ft. Hood cemetery and came upon this hotel. Looked at ratings, photos, price (which trip advisor had the best price for this hotel), and overall distance. Upon arrival the check in was quick and fast and service was great. Room (suite) was clean and great size for my family (2 adults 1 toddler). Morning breakfast was the usual one gets at any other hotel nothing fancy...just a quick bite or something small. Asked for a late checkout with desk clerk and had no issues. Overall I was pleased with my hotel stay and friendliness of the staff. Visited my son at Thanksgiving for 3 days and stayed here. From check in to check out we received the best care a hotel could offer. Room was clean; breakfast was ok. Breakfast had cereals; milk; apple, orange juice and coffee; pastries; scrambled eggs, link & patty sausages boiled eggs. Saved a lot of money on breakfast. Whataburger right next door as are many restaurants. Minutes away from Ft Sam Houston. Enjoyed a great Thanksgiving dinner with my son at Ft Sams dining hall. Just hated the Holiday traffic. Texans drive crazy. Did not like the passing from all lanes. Have to have your head on a swivel not to mention the bumper to bumper traffic the day before Thanksgiving. I stayed at this Best Western because it was less than five minutes from my work-site, it had fast food and sit down restaurants within walking distance, and has the consistency of the Best Western name to give me an idea of what to expect. Traveling can be stressful enough, so it is good to have something that is consistent, just as I may go to Cracker Barrel, because I can normally get consistent quality that I am familiar with every time I go. Would stay here again if i had to. Was visiting family. Usually stay on AFB but needed to be more central. It was in perfect location. The rooms were clean and spacious and breakfast was good. I didn't get to use the Fitness center and the pool but they looked very clean. For being in a very busy area I was surprised that I didn't even hear the traffic outside. Do have to be careful at times when you leave because of rush hour. Read more

My wife and I had a 4 night stay there and we had 4 friends from Mexico join us for the last 2 nights (in their own room). They had a ground floor room, we had a room on I believe the 3rd floor. None of us have any complaints about the place. A few positive comments- just off the freeway, but very quiet. The outside of the building is nice and fresh looking. I can say the same about the inside as well- that includes our rooms. All was up-to-date, clean, and secure. All staff, including the front desk, were very friendly and helpful- especially when we had questions. We arrived in San Antonio just for a day trip. Wife decided wanting to stay since we were here for a Friends wedding anniversary. We stopped at the hotel and i had booked online. Got to the front counter and they told me it was for the next day. Let receptionists know the date on my phone was showing for today. As we were reviewing. We noticed the website change dates for what you specified. We called customer service and they were unable to cancel. Ask clerk if there was anything they can do since we will not be in town for the date specified. Clerk was kind enough to help us out and allowed us to stay. Compared to the other accommodations in the area, this hotel matched its 3+ rating (rare in this price range). We (2) stayed for one night on the way to visit family in the area. This hotel was conveniently located, new, clean, had a clean 24 hour outdoor pool, a small fitness area with four pieces of exercise equipment, breakfast, and a fence around the property. Hotel looked newer or recently remodeled and in good, clean shape. It has interior hallways which was nice. We stayed in room 310. The room was kind of cramped and a bit dark decorated. It only had 2 lamps and the beds sat low as far as I was concerned. The beds were comfortable though and I slept well. The hotel is situated in a business or commercial area and there is a LOT of truck traffic, but, it was surprisingly quiet in the room. It is also located very close to the highway and several restaurants and gas stations. There is a 24 hour Whataburger right next to it. The room was clean and comfortable, but the door squeaked so loudly at least the room on each side had to be affected. The small ice box was just that it had not been defrosted is so long the ice area was almost a solid block to the point the control was broken off laying in the bottom of it. Read more

The hotel office staff during the evening and morning shifts were very polite and helpful. The room was average. The furniture and accessories were rather sticky, dead beetle on the floor, the temperature control knob on the fridge was broken, and it was almost impossible to change the channel on the TV using the remote and the channel buttons on the TV did not work - incredibly frustrating! AC worked well (in the room). Breakfast was average, watery juices, OK coffee, fake bagels and pastry, etc. -no real effort to provide more than the basics. Our room was very nice and clean, and so was the hotel lobby. We had no problems with the room or the workers. Everyone was helpful. There was only one elevator. We stayed here to be near Fort Sam Houston. We chose it based on the reviews. We were pretty happy with it! Good price and nice clean room. Good quality everything. The room was quiet and peaceful and there was breakfast (bread, sugary pastries, cheesy ham/eggs, greasy sausages). No hot tub but it did have an itty bitty pool. The fitness center surprised me with its cleanliness even though it only had four machines. Good staff too. Read more

The hotel was located good for us but the service was horrible the beds were like sleeping on plywood the pillows were very uncomfortable and the air conditioning was poor I had to sleep without covers and woke up sweating and I am a small guy. Overall the hotel is average due to being a bit rundown compared to the other Best Western hotels we have stayed at. The hotel staff were okay but not as professionally attired as I would expect. This is my second time to stay at this property. I originally chose it due to its proximity to Ft. Sam Houston. We stayed here two nights in order to attend out son's graduation from Navy Corpsman School. Once again, I was completely satisfied with our stay. The room was clean and comfortable. I made the reservation online and got a great price. When I arrived, I was given a suite with a king bed. That was unexpected. The TV was huge, and the cable was the best I've ever had at a hotel. Just your average aged Best Western. Very busy street but the rooms all face away from the freeway, so they are fairly quite. The heater/air conditioner made the most noise and the rooms are not well insulated between each rooms. Our neighbor kept their TV on until a late hour. Very few places to eat that are within walking distance and after driving 600 miles we did not want to drive to eat. Front desk was not very helpful with directions. Read more

I chose this property due to its proximity to Fort Sam Houston and due to the reviews here. I spent one night and was very satisfied. My son is in corpsman school at Ft. Sam Houston and this hotel provided a close place to spend the night while visiting him. The room and facilities were clean and well cared for, and seem to be new. No replies to my extending a Hello, Good afternoon etc. Was traveling with a family member who stayed in the room while I was out and about on business. Housekeeping arrived, she vacated the room and when she (and when I later returned that day), beds were barely made, and no new towels were replenished. Was leery after some of the ratings I read on tripadvisor. The room was very clean and apparently recently renovated. Nice and clean. Complaints-noticed the sheets were not being changed and when I mentioned it to the front desk man he asked WHY I wanted them changed...seriously. He asked if I changed my sheets at home every night and I told him no, and that I also did not pay $100 to sleep in my bed every night.Unreal. He said he would make sure they got changed and he did, but told me the policy was that they were only changed when you LEFT! Pretty good hotel. New building. Conveniently located, close to highway. I didn't see a railway track but heard the train at night. Also there was some construction noise. But apart from that, the hotel is very nice. They should point out that it is a new building. Ample parking space. Cameras monitoring the parking. Felt secure. A number of fast-food places nearby. Stayed here while watching hockey. Checked in late and check in was easy. My room had a queen size bed which was very comfortable. Room was very quiet and had a very generous size tv,and fridge, microwave,etc. Great place to stay and at a very nice price too. Staff was very friendly. I would stay here again. This Best Western was a very clean hotel with a nice lobby and friendly staff. The room was clean and well-appointed with a comfortable bed. The air conditioning unit had a thermostat, so you could set it to your preferred temperature. It worked well without being too loud. I actually booked this hotel at the last minute, two days before I arrived for $68 on Internet special. Tripadvisor ranked it as #2 value hotels in this area. So I was nervous yet hopefuls. I stayed at this hotel at the beginning of this October 2013 when I went to Fort Sam Houston with two of my Soldiers to visit my wounded Soldier. I booked this hotel for two rooms becasue it is very close to the base. It's nice and I enjoyed my stay. However, the management should concern these issues: 1. First of all, I'm a Platinum Elite membership. The benefits I should have is "Welcome snack and beverage OR 250 bonus points". I always stay here when I come in for Spurs games. I always have great service the room is always clean and I enjoy the close proximity to everywhere I needed to be esp the ATT CENTER I dont think there is another hotel that is as reasonably priced that can offer you as much friendliness, quick response to any problems you may have at the hotel, and also the great continental breakfasts they have, this is the only place I stay when I come to town. I spent quite a bit of time with the Spurs having been in the playoffs, and cannot even complain about this great hotel, am looking forward to basketball season starting again and I will be going there for my stays. We had a very negative experience with a Comfort Inn Suites located almost next door to this hotel and the staff at Best Western went over and above the call of duty to make us feel welcome. A young man named Cody-sorry I didn't get his last name-got us checked in promptly and was extremely professional and courteous. We had originally asked for a Double Queen non-smoking and were upgraded at no additional charge to a King Suite (King in the main room and a Queen in an adjoining room). My family and I stayed here, last month, for 3 nights. It is a very well maintained and clean hotel, with a great location, easy access, and excellent rates. The staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive. On one occasion, Jenny, an employee, re-opened the breakfast buffet for my children, even-though we showed up 20 mins late after breakfast was closed. The breakfast was wholesome and delicious, with a huge selection of hot/cold items. The rooms are very clean, spacious, and comfortable. A big plus was the cool swimming pool. We were looking for a hotel near the AT&T Center so we could catch a cab to the Rodeo and avoid having to fight traffic and parking. The problem is the AT&T Center is not in the best area of town. This hotel was a $20 cab ride from the AT&T Center and turned out to be very nice for the price. The parking area is well-lit and seemed secure. There is a Cracker Barrel Restaurant nearby although I wish there was a pedestrian gate in the privacy fence that allows easier to access to the adjacent businesses. This is a busy, busy part of town, but we had no problem with road noise. The rooms and beds were clean and comfortable, the arrangement of the room was convenient, and the staff was helpful and efficient. Read more

When he did show up he looked as if he had been sleeping. Rest of stay went well except for a very poor breakfast. Food was cold and the bread was old. It was great when we stayed here 2 years ago and it was the same last week. The rooms are very nice with fresh linens, hair dryer, work desk area, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, toiletries, closet, iron and board, and the best breakfast with waffles, cereals, fruit, yogurt, juices, coffees, oatmeal, bagels, breads, muffins, etc. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on a business trip. Reservation agent was extremely helpful with booking prior to my stay, as I had 13 rooms and several last minute changes. The location appeared a little sketchy at 1st, but once you arrive and see the hotel, you feel very comfortable. There are restaurants close by, and you're right off a major highway with quick access to anywhere in San Antonio. The airport is less than 10 miles away, downtown is also less than 10 miles. We were only staying there because we had a Hockey Game and a Band competition and that hotel seemed centrally located. The hotel was nice. The front desk guy the night we arrived was rude and as a matter of fact the guy there on the next night was rude too. It was late but still. They were able to accommodate my requests which were highest possible floor and away from an elevator, which I was greatful for. I spent two nights here at the start of a road trip vacation. Picked the location on the fly based on price, location and breakfast. The front desk staff was fine, but not spectacular. Our first floor room was clean and spacious. Two double beds and plenty of room for all of our stuff. The fridge in the room was nice to have. From the outside, this hotel looked very suspect. Surrounded by abandoned buildings, pawn shops, taco stands with barred windows, etc. Inside, the room was really nice. Comfortable bed, working AC unit, clean bathroom, working coffee maker, etc. The only bad part of this was the pillows. They gave us four pillows for a king size bed, which should definitely be enough. But, they were all SMALL. They were all about half the size of a standard pillow. I think it was due to wear and tear, and they just shrunk over the years, but it was definitely not good. We called down to the front desk, got a few more pillows, and were out for the night. I booked this room to visit my husband while he was stationed at Fort Sam Houston. With neither if us knowing the area, I booked the decently priced Best Western near him. When I arrived I found it to be on a busy street, with a couple of fast food locations near by. I was a little nervous to see the inside based on the out side surroundings. But it was wonderful. The room was well taken care of, way beyond my expectations for the price. I dslr safe and welcomed inside the hotel. We never ate the breakfast, never got up in time, but Cracker Barrel was right behind us. I suggest making sure you bring a gps, as the area can be hard to navigate. I would stay at the Windsor Pointe location again. Read more

Back in December, I reserved a room at the Best Western AT&T Center for my brother and his girlfriend. It was a Christmas gift to the two, as they were going to the Spurs vs. Mavs game. Less expensive than Riverwalk, but you need a car to get into city center. There's a bus stop 3 minutes away that'll take you into town in 45 minutes. It's time vs. money. My husband and I stayed here for two nights in March. The hotel is very close to the interstate, so it was quick and easy to get to the heart of town. Rush hour traffic made it hard to get in and out of the parking lot, but once we did that, it was fine. Our room was very comfortable. The place is ok, the room we stayed in needed some repairs, it was quiet though. The breakfast was ok. I didn't think i would be coming back to this location and then I checked my CC statement. I found a charge for rent and a Spektrum cable bill. I called the property management company and when the owner called me back he asked me if I had stayed at a Best Western. Jose Orozco has been stealing peoples credit card info and charging his personal bills to them. He had used at least 5 stolen cards to pay rent. Clean and close to post ... that's about it. While the rooms were clean, the hallways smelled like pot, the elevator moaned and groaned. First off, they have changed the beds and pillows, and they are now both so uncomfortable that everyone in my party had a difficult time sleeping. It has now been openly declared by front desk that we Auto Truck guests are mooches and are apparently taking too much of their water and snacks. Insulting us is not making me at all eager to return! I did return my unopened bottles of water, so front desk should now be happy. I will definitely be seeing to it that this will no longer be a problem in the future, by not coming back and stealing their water and snacks that they gave me. Bye! We wanted to stay close enough to downtown without paying for parking. This is a good location for that. It’s right off the interstate, easy find. 10 minute Uber/Lyft ride to Riverwalk. Lots of places to eat within walking distance and a gas station is right across the street. Used reward points for this booking. Staff is super friendly! Rooms are clean and comfortable.. but dated. I am a returning visitor to this hotel. This hotel rooms were extremely clean. The décor was pleasant to the eyes and presented an atmosphere of calm that enable you to gently fall asleep. The beds were comfortable and the amenities were sufficient to meet the needs of 3 occupants. This hotel is assessable traveling on I-35 East or West. The breakfast was outstanding. There was a variety of entries on the breakfast bar and the coffee was simply delicious...outstanding! If you are arriving in the evening there are several in walking distance of the hotel. We have to stay here for our company, BUT this is not my choice of hotel. This hotel at one point use to be great. Lately both housekeeping and breakfast have gone down. They use to have cream cheese and hot sauce now, they have taken them away. Its such a shame that these items im sure are the least expensive but they cant seem to get them. Rooms are not being cleaned properly they look like they are rushing just to get them done. I've actually put in a request with my company to please get us out of this hotel and into something more suitable. Jose and Cody at the front desk are awesome and very helpful. But being pulled in many directions not only do they work the desk but they also have to replenish breakfast which is ludicrous. We had to be near a seminar, so I thought this motel would be a good choice. How wrong I was! The neighborhood looks run-down, the "non-smoking " room reeked of cigarette smoke. The room was dirty and the furniture so stained I was hesitant to sit on the armchair. The outside of the motel looks pretty good, but the inside doesn't follow. Service was bare minimum and as I left, not a soul asked me how my smoke-filled stay was! It may not be the highest- priced motel in town, but there's a reason for that! Never again.
